Pray for my last year bonsai. (Actually don't - if you believe in the power of prayer, use yours on something important) I just needed to share my fear, that my only "child" might not have survied the winter - maybe even bcz I forgot to keep it a bit moist. We'll see - at least I can enjoy this channels and others, while I wait, and start to look around for a new subject.

I'll try to prune my pine like you did. I prune it, but it won't grow new branches, maybe i prune too much or too early
Those pruned pine tips have a lot of health benefits - you could use them for that ^^
Interesting. Also interesting are the lower, very small sprouts on the lower parts of the trunk. They will give you small branches with smaller and shorter leaves/needles... Might be interesting for shohin or even mame... At the moment, I'm walking the same path with quite a lot of Scots Pines, from seeds (a few years ago). The seem to grow even faster... Good luck!
