One I’ve been loving to watch right now is La Esmeralda Act 2 variation. I love the music and the energy! Especially Natalia Osipova and one girl from YAGP 👌 th-cam.com/video/-_vgjSGPiFA/w-d-xo.html

Currently Giselle Act 1. I recently found a wonderful video of Alicia Alonso performing this in 1958: her artistry is incredible. I also really like the late Carla Fracci’s Giselle and of modern ballerinas, Osipova’s. I remember learning sone of the fairy variations from Sleeping Beauty when I was younger: those were fun to dance, though I knew I wasn’t doing it very well!

@@x_jess_taylor a variation is a solo from a ballet and the choreography varies. I hope you found this helpful!

My favorite is act 2 of swan lake odettes variation with Marianela Nuez, also I was dancing that solo for first solo in my life when I started so it's very close to my heart.
But the dying swan is an iconic one as well with Svetlana Zakarhova.

The video of Miko is from Moscow Ballet Competition, she won the Gold Medal in her category 😍 but look again…… the orchestra started too early- when she was running, as opposed to starting when she was in position, so she had to make a split second decision to omit the 2nd échappé 4th to catch up with the music…… now that is professionalism! Absolutely incredible 😍

I love how Osipova's 1st Act Giselle is so emotionally immature (I mean she does that variation like a little kid) and her 2nd Act Giselle is such a mature adult. It's a mind-boggling transformation.

İ just want to say Hannah, you are so inspiring and you were actually the First youtuber l ever watched and I love how u are so passionate and love ballet. I personally adore all the dancers u chose to watch today. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE U. You are such a beautiful dancer and I believe as Maria Khoreva would say, "If u put yourself to it then you CAN do it". Get those feet girl!

Wow, they are all so amazing! As a total beginner adult student, I am in awe and I know enough to be impressed. Marianela Nunez is probably one of my favorite dancers--not only her technique but her facial expressions are spot on. You will probably surpass her one day.

She is truly the GOAT of ballet. So incredible!!
I could only dream of being as technically proficient as her! But I am working on it 🙏🏻🙏🏻💪🏻

I would say let's not use the word 'surpassed' - all of these principal dancers have amazing artistry and younger dancers will develop their own as they gain more experience, not to 'surpass' them exactly but to bring their own characterisation and feel to a role. There's so much for them to learn from each other and add to the history of that role over time! A few weeks ago we had the Nureyev Legend and Legacy Gala here in London and it was lovely to see a younger generation dance Nureyev's choreography. Ballet is extremely technical and athletic of course but so much of it, at a professional level, is also the ability to portray emotion, which Marianela Nuñez, Natalia Osipova, Iana Salenko, Alina Cojocaru and formerly Margot Fonteyn, Merle Park, Rudolf Nureyev, and many others, do superbly. I watch ballet a lot in London and emotional portrayal and charisma really does draw me in more than just technique, though technique is essential of course. I'm also an adult beginner student 😃 and grew up with a ballet loving grandmother!

@@melissatranfield4054 You are absolutely correct. I should choose my words more carefully. I meant to say she will be as amazing as she is meant to be as she matures. Thanks for the comment.

Your passion is why I’m subscribed. Well, that, and you and my daughter are both Hannah 😬 People are devoid of such passion these days, so I am quite averse to that energy. I watch/listen to your videos when I need to reignite my spirit. As I used to say when I taught hot yoga: remember that life is good food, good company, and good sleep. ✌🏼 ❤️ 🩰

I believe Marianella Nunez does Knaiseff floor barre. I took some classes with India Rose and she said Marianella was in classes with her teacher.

Hi Hanna, you showed us months ago your room and a kind of "memory board" for the good thought thoughts of te day.
Can you make a vid about it/the system behind/the motivation. What has to be on it and how does it works?
    Thanks!
    Wish you a good week.
