I tried the Pegheads tuners on my 1972 Ramirez 1A Flamenco guitar. I found that the sound changed. It lost that 'woody' sound and sounded tinny and metallic instead. I replaced the original wooden pegs and the sound came back! I think the fact that the shaft of the Pegheads is aluminium and has internal gears seems to cause a metallic resonance.
Guitarras Ramírez I have also tried them on two other guitars with the same result. Have you changed the pegs on an old guitar and noticed any change in the sound?

Other guitarist do not think like you and They are really happy. I think it depend on taste, like someone love blue and another one yellow .
