Like your positive comments on the Gold Coast , it’s not the tacky glitz and glamour that is portrayed in the media

    Another great video.
I drove up to O Reilly's last weekend and i must say the area whilst it is spectacular. the road up to it is in its worst state of unrepair to date. hope they dont take too long fixing it.
it was still worth the scary drive.

Nice work. Thanks Caro. Can you do a followup with transport info, or is that on your website?

Not yet... but if you check out the QLD NPWS website it has lots of good info: www.npsr.qld.gov.au/parks/great-walks-gold-coast-hinterland/

Is there many snakes this time of year and what do you do if there is a snake blocking the path?

Hi Alan. its now October and yes this just happens to be getting warmer which is mating season for snakes. if you ever cross paths with one i just give em plenty of space and either let them go on their way or i make a big circle around them. also depends on type of snake.Only snakes Ive ever had a problem with are the king browns.they have an attitude and best to avoid them.but if you make enough noise by scuffing your feet they've got way better hearing than us and are gone before you get too close.

Thank you very much for the reply. I've seen snake resistant canvas gators available and thinking this would be an added protection while bush walking. Just incase we don't see the snake

Yeah i often wear gators. only when it starts to get really hot they can be extremely uncomfortable though.

Is this a three day round trip? Do you start at o'rileys and end there?

Nope, not a round trip. We had to arrange a transfer with O'Reilly's to pick us up at the end and bring us back.
