It was, indeed. Really smooth for having sat in that area of the aircraft. The MAX feels like it sets down smoother than the NG variants even a firm touchdown is called for, although I haven’t flown on a MAX into a shorter runway, but the one time I landed in one onto a very wet runway the firm landing still felt smooth.
That was my first time through OMA and I changed my nonstop from Denver to Dallas to this through stop (DEN-OMA-DAL) just to go through OMA and see what it looked like.
Yeah the Missouri River is the (mostly) Nebraska border to Iowa and Missouri. From the terminal, You look east and basically beyond the airport is all Iowa that you’re looking at. Oddly enough theres a small land border and the area immediately west/southwest of the airport is actually the city of Carter Lake, IA, so the airport is surrounded by more Iowa than Nebraska. Lol.
Really smooth landing.

Great video. I've always liked the approach into OMA.

Really cool landing.
it was fun. there’s intersecting runways there and I didn’t know what we were doing at first til I went back and listened to ATC.
SWA has the best pilots for flying & landing.
Surprised at first to see a river in Nebraska, then remembered Omaha is on the NE/IA border
