I had a divider without holes in it in the tank and the next morning both of them were swimming together on one side of the tank. The male must have pushed the divider out off the way. A pleasant surprise is that she isn't dead yet! They seem to be getting along for the most part, and she's a feisty one at only about half his size, she keeps him in check!
Love your videos I’m actually trying this method as we speak my WC Lago Guatape umbee male started to beat the crap out of my female missing a few fins and some scales. Hoping this will help and calm him down. Any other suggestions would definitely be appreciated

Andy I’ve got a nice male green terror , he’s about 11 inches, he’s in a tank by himself, probably been by himself about 3 years. I purchased a young lady green terror for him but all he did was chase her round and round the tank so I had to take her out and put her in my community tank , anyway after about 3 days she’s spawned with another male ive got ! Maybe I should of tried a divider in the tank with my single male ! Nevermind , love the videos , looking forward to seeing your trimacs , I’ve just got myself a pretty little female, I’m hoping she turns into a stunner 👍🐠🐟🐠🐟
11inch male, that's a whopper. Biggest I've had and seen is 10inch. Pairing adult fish can be tricky. They need to get to know one another. Patients is the key. That's where the hole in the divider comes in. I'm sure my beani will live in the same tank happily in time. The female will always have some were to go for safety. No meds. Not necessary. No point putting chemicals into the tank if there not sick or infected. They heal naturally. You don't go to the doctor every time you cut yourself. I'll keep a close eye on them. 99% of the time they heal naturally. Thanks for watching happy fishkeeping to you sir.

She was one determined Mommy at first hopefully she accepts him again and you can get some fry I've never seen two fish spawn that fast before I guess they were both ready, did the eggs die off because he did not fertilize or or did they just plain not make make it through to incubation so to speak
