I would say edgar allen poe’s writings are more about the macabre than the supernatural. Or in other words, people always die and there’s big emphasis on it. Don’t look up his actual life story though, its kinda depressing. But it does give some background on why he wrote so much on the subject.
I hope his life story isn’t related to the tell tale heart. Though simply the loss of a loved one that we all go through at some point in the raven is sad enough as it is.
