The top req variants of the Wraith, are almost evenly matched. Ultra Wraith's plasma cannon fires slower, more recoil, but the blast travels faster with less arc. Temple Wraith fires faster but the plasma blast has more arc.
*Temple Wraith can fire plasma cannon while boosting, Ultra Wraith cannot.*
Ultra Wraith plasma blast splits into 3 on impact and ricochets off of surfaces. This creates an elongated blast zone. Temple Wraith's blast radius is slightly larger because the blast does not split.
Plasma turrets are identical and will kill spartans in 5-7 shots (time to kill = 1.08 seconds, increases with distance). It is 5-7 because sometimes plasma shots will not register/pass through.
Speed:
Temple Wraith slightly faster than Ultra Wraith.
Ultra Wraith boost - 2.20 s
Cooldown - 0.70 s
Temple Wraith boost - 2.85 s
Cooldown - 0.70 s
Armor Strength:
- 114 shards to destroy Ultra (Talon of the Lost)
- 114 shards to destroy Temple (Talon of the Lost)
I had to use the 'Talon of the Lost' needler req to test armor strength because both Wraiths armor causes bullets to ricochet off like crazy - difficult to measure armor strength with bullets. However, around 400 AR bullets are needed to destroy the each Wraith.
- 4 Scorpion shots to destroy Ultra
- 4 Scorpion shots to destroy Temple
Super Glide:
Hold 'right bumper' or your melee button. You can also boost while super gliding.

I've run over 2,000 rounds of Warzone and I'm just now finding out about the "super glide." Very nice man! I can't believe I didn't know about that.

Been playing Halo since I was six and the superglide just blew my mind.
Wraith boost just blew my mind, totally didn't know that trick,I've been backing the wraith over some smaller barriers but it's more dangerous and slow; so watch out war zone I'm sitting on about 20+ temple and ultra wraiths! I'm over rank 100 too so I'm definitely not new to the game or series in general just needed to let you know your video was seriously excellent. It's hard to improve your game in multi player without getting the stats on game elements like vehicle variants so thanks for the tips!

I remember being able to do the super glide with the ghost in halo 2 and later. Not to that extreme, it was still helpful. I don't remember if the Wraith ever had that, but I'll never look at the Wraith the same way again! That is Amazing! Wraith definitely beats Scorpion.

so i did not know the super glide existed. i was blown away by this. i tried it out for the first time and it was amazing how much this changed my tactics for the better. Warzone kills are triple now. thanks much for this.

Halo 4 had it for ghosts, but it wasn't really effective.
in halo 5 that problem of the effectiveness was fixed.

I always use that glide back in Halo 3 & Reach, it's hilarious getting so much airtime and splatting the enemies. Reminded me as a big ass futuristic motorcycle.

I've played Halo from 3 and I revel in the fact I know quite alot about the game mechanics and lore but I have never known that you can glide with the Wraith! Brilliant, newfound love for the Ultra also, gotta love the splash damage 👌

Just to clarify, Ultra and all other Wraiths can super glide. Though you are correct, the Temple Wraith seems like it's flying because of the longer boost.

It's basically the same thing has previous Halo's that had option to lift the front part of the wraith. It's not flying, it's like a wheelie.

from the looks of it, the temple (Rightfully) looks great from a defensive perspective. the ultra is good for an assault
With all the covenant vehicles ghost and wraith by pressing the right bumper you can make them glide over stuff.

None of us figured out how to glide because they changed the intuitive control scheme to do it.

A minor detail regarding barriers but another way to get around them with a wraith is to turn around and go in reverse. The back side of the wraith slopes upward off the ground making it easy to go over certain barriers when going backwards.
I use the super glide all the time, one time I got enough air to be as high as banshees and phaetons and I took the shields off of a friendly one doing so. You can also use super glide to get the temple wraith onto the garage in the grassy area in attack on sanctum. You have to learn it but you time the levitate as you're driving up a certain hill and then you boost from the bottom of the hill and make it on top of the garage. My friend did it with an ultra wraith once though, useful tactic for firefight.
Super glide is 10/10
it depends on the situation. if you want to just kill enemies go with the temple but if you want to take out vehicles then go with ultra

Ultra in firefight against bosses on storm break inside the core due to power and angle over scorpion. Temple in warzone due to increased mobility, much harder to get boarded and increased rate of fire can really pin Spartans down in a base.
Can all wraiths in Halo 5 'Superglide' or just the Temple Wraith, it wasn't clearly stated by demo if the Ultra could do it too!
Remember back when Halo 1 and 2, Wraith/Scorpion's weapon explosions looked amazing and were more deadly. Why the regressive approach to the new Halos, I don't know.

All Wraiths can do it. All ghosts can do it too, but they cannot achieve such massive height as Wraiths.

Ultra Wraith is anti vehicle because it does more potential damage and the temple is anti spartan because it has a higher fire rate more movement and larger blast radius for smaller targets.

Well I'm meaning in regards to each progressive level also. So what would be the best weapon to kill a Banshee at REQ level 4. What would be the best to kill Helios Phaeton at REQ level 5. Sometimes it seems as if the Arclight may do more damage, or even twin jewels may do more damage.

I believe the temple is better because on the ultra you need to hit a certain spot 2 times while a temple wraith would have hit you atleast twice before you even hit the sweet spot
