    TH-cam algorithm is on a new level. I've only been thinking about my emerging double chin yesterday. Though, my coworker did talk about it. I don't remember having my phone with me.

    I appreciate this video so much. I agree about neck health. My jaw is normally pretty defined, and my neck is usually slender and long, but because my neck was misaligned resulting in muscle tightness, I started to lose my definition and my neck looked very thick. After I got my neck adjusted at the Chiro and acupuncturist, my jaw instantly came back and my neck looks normal again. With your videos, I now know how to prevent it from happening again.

    Hi Sandra! Thank you so much for posting about the strumming! I am learning so much from your tutorials. I love the garden metaphor to help visualize the how and why for these movements! I already use body stretching and manual massage with my hands on the skin to move my energy so this is confirming to what I already intuitively felt to do, but I'm enjoying having a tool to use on the skin along with these techniques and excited to see what results come from being consistent. I've taken what I've learned from your facial work and applied it to working on the rest of the body but I would love to see a routine from you that I could incorporate for the whole body. I am also curious if you would work on the front torso of the body (the chest and abdomen) with a Gua Sha tool and how you would do that. For my back, since I can't reach it myself, I could just use my foam roller. I did take a look through your classes and didn't see one specifically on the lower body.

    To me is a huge pleasure to watch your videos and learn more about gua sha! I’ve been doing since the first time I watched you and OMG my life has changed since then! I bought some tools (wish I could buy yours but not yet.. yet!) and every single day I do my gua sha, in the morning and night before bed.. I suffer from bruxism and since I started to do gua sha.. everything changed! Thank you so much!!! I’m a fan of yours! ❤

      Tbh I'm not really sure. I started doing this intuitively during patient treatments. And now use it often, even on myself! It's similar to the Bo Jin technique I discussed 2 videos ago, except this strumming technique creates more vibration. It reminds me of Qi machines - or vibration plates...except for the face:) I love what a bit of strumming and soothing smoothing Gua Sha strokes can do!

      You can get a great result with just a hydrator (you can even use distilled water), followed by an oil. You could try adding few drops of black castor oil (my favorite is by Shea Terra) into whatever cream or lotion that you use. Or, you could pair black seed oil with a few drops of castor oil on top of damp and skin. We carry both on lanshin.com if that helps!

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can apply your serum whenever you normally would -- i.e. after hydrator and before oil. Doing Gua Sha on top of your products helps work them into the skin! As for millet, we would recommend around dinner time in the evening so that it can help you get restful sleep.

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This cream leaves my skin with a dewy, glowy finish that amazes me every time I use it. The trick is to apply it like a mask, painting it on until the whiteness of the cream disappears and you’re left with a light layer. Like some kind of magic trick, your skin is suddenly mega moisturized and plump as a peach. The way it reflects light in some ways better than actual makeup blows my mind. And I don’t only see it on my skin, I see it on my patients too!

    • @Tatjananagl
      @Tatjananagl 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Adipeau actually glides through the hair follicles into the skin and activates the production of new small fat cells that lift our skin. That's why one should only finger paint it on and let it absorb for at least 10 minutes. I love this cream.
      Thanks for this great video!

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Always good to check with your MD or personal acupuncturist first! But it can be okay to massage directly on it, as long as you're using super gentle force -- I’ve had patients and students tell me how helpful it has been for their thyroid condition (or helping them discover a goiter condition).

      You should always ask your injector when they recommend that you do facial Gua Sha or massage after a fresh injection. In general, I use the guideline of three weeks after a fresh injection -- this is when I would feel comfortable doing Gua Sha on Botox treated areas.

      We like to treat Gua Sha as the end of our skincare routine -- and the oil is the moisturizer! The Gua Sha helps work your products in to the skin. So we typically don't wash the face again afterwards.

      @Lanshin  หลายเดือนก่อน

    @Lanshin how often should you be doing this?

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you’re looking to see visible results, consistency is key! We would recommend doing Gua Sha at least 3 times per week to see noticeable changes. If you’re looking to see big changes in your face, you can try doing 30-40 minutes of Gua Sha daily for 2-4 weeks, then dropping the duration and frequency to be in a maintenance phase

      Skin tags are not an issue as long as you’re not overly vigorous and use a soft gentle motion.

    will this help with Jowls/sagging cheeks/mouth corners? I'm 32 with and almost 3 year old and now I'm starting to get forehead lines and jowls 🥲any budget friendly advice ??

      Doing Gua Sha consistently (3+ times per week) can create visible changes in your face! Everyone’s results are different and depend on their skin and facial muscle, but we would suggest working these areas every day for a month, and take pictures to see what changes you notice. In terms of budget-friendly products, we really love Shea Terra’s line for affordable but high-quality mists and oils.

    Can I use my hands if I don’t have a gua sha tool ?

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah! Try and use your knuckles/bone as that will more closely be like the hardness of a gua sha tool.

    I always do gua sha before my skincare and then wash my face after. I’m I doing a disservice to my skin ?

      We like to do gua sha as the last step in our routine before makeup/spf/heavy creams. It helps work our products more into the skin.

      A consistent Gua Sha routine can help your undereyes! If you are interested, we did a whole class about it here: lanshin.com/collections/on-demand/products/2845307

    Can you gua sha downward?

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can. Generally directionality of the strokes doesn't matter so much as long as they are all going in one direction and not zig-zagging

    This may help drain lymph or swelling- but it is NOT going to reverse your facial skin from naturally sliding downward with age, creating “turkey neck”. Only surgery can truly change jowls and Turkey neck.

      Of course there are some conditions this won’t be as effective for, especially if there is an excess of skin already formed, or if adipose tissue has formed an “out-pocketing.” But we felt it is worth showing for all the people who will find benefit from this. We’ve seen surprising results clinically.
      Remember that there is not one thing that will help everyone, but everyone will be helped by something out there. And if Gua Sha is your jam, then we’re here to help. You don’t always have to go right to surgery with the right guidance.
