    • @HuntressYalena
      @HuntressYalena 5 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      To fix that ...who ever does your braides has to get a max hold gel that complements your hair or could even be the type of hair, also wetting the hair a lot can get it frizzy
      Not saying these are the problems because i wouldn't know but it is suggestions in case one i mentioned is one

THE BRAIDERS ARE YOUNGER AND THEIR TECHNIQUE IS WAY DIFFERENT FROM BACK IN THE DAY WHICH EXPLAINS THE PRICE NOW. HOWEVER SITTING IN THE CHAIR FOR 6 HRS WAS NOT MISSED LOL IAM ENJOYING MY BRAIDS GOT THEM JUNE 17TH 2021 AND STARTED WASHING THEM AFTER THE 4TH OF JULY. NOW WATCHING HOW YOU TWIST I WILL ATTEMPT TO A WASHING AND TWIST FOR MY TRIP JULY 30 - AUG 4TH AND THEN JUST TAKE OUT THE BRAIDS FINALLY. I TRULY ENJOYED YOUR VISEOS THANK YOU.

    Everyone hair is different , for those who are saying their hair looks like a year old after one month I think it just depends on your hair . My hair is naturally curly so I can put moose on my breads and it lays straight down versus some videos where I see a lot of frizziness from their natural hair on the braids . Everybody braids won’t look like this even if well maintained . Thanks for this video , I love the twisties ❤️🙏

    I see people do the twist method a lot and I want to try, but I’ve always been scared of what happens to the twists during the upcoming weeks/months. Does the twists turn into locs, does the hair grow and the twist undo, would we have to untwist and clean before re-twisting the hair again?

  • @coda2.0

    My braids come off after 3-4weeks max, not because I want to, but because my hair tangles real tight at the point where the new growth and my braid meets. If I try twisting, my hair locks in.

    • @Superlife1369
      @Superlife1369 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Tiffany Taylor I left my hair in box braids one time for about 7 or 8 months and I did NOTHING to them other than washing them regularly. I have 4C hair and it began locking around that time frame. It took me only lots of conditioner and some oil on wet hair, a metal rat-tail comb and 3 days to get all the knots out. I said all that to say this, 3 months worth of braids and proper maintenance and a proper take down (with conditioner and water and some oil if you like) then you will be just fine. This video is awesome and I wish I would have thought of it or known about this sooner. It is right on time though because I'm about to put in some mini twists and when they get to looking raggedy then I'm going to see how this method works.

    This is really great, thank you!💐 Can anyone suggest a hair vitamin you've used that gave you results (without any undesirable side effects), please?

    What happens to the part that you twist ? Does it dread up or come out ?

    Did you iron your hair out before the braids were put in? Because I have the same amount of hair you do but I feel like they put alot of braids in my head and it just looks full and thicker. This is only day 2 for me, fyi.

    I love this method cause it works for me. But I normally add jell and rubber bands at the roots to keep the twist lol.

    How often is she washing the hair before she does the twists? I'm assuming the hair doesn't lock or get matted as long as she keeps up with the twisting?

    Just got medium sized twists installed in my natural hair last week - and they are fuzzy already! 1st time getting braids/twists since being totally natural. I mean you can see my fuzzy hair down the shaft of the twists! Type 4b hair.
    Any tips on preventing this? Do you think it’s because it’s twists, or that my hair may do this even if I get braids? I do have fuzzy hair and this happens when I try to do twists on my own (keep in mind I am not a hair girl and can’t style it myself to save , my life!).

    The best thing to do is have the first two rows taken down and redone..When I wore braids 15 years ago my stylist always refreshed them this way, in between washings.

    I love your voice; with that ever so slight accent(?). You are so well-spoken. I really prefer this type of video, for this type of content. Sometimes the music in these videos is awesome,but it completely drowns out the message. When I click on I'm there for the message. Anyway, thank you. Great info!

    My hairline wud dry out by the time the water dries. I normally take of braids after 2 weeks as i feel lose braids burst my hair strands. Plus my hair is usually dry by that time. How do u keep ur moisture in? Only water?
