Single mum of 2 and I am leaving the UK. Definitely bad vibes and low quality of life. I’m moving back to Africa and can’t wait!!! I hope your travels bring tuns of memories and joy.
Go girl! Lived in Bulgaria for 18 years, 7 in Greece, 1 in France, 15 in England...and now am learning Portuguese getting ready once again to take on a new journey! Souls have no borders. Take care of yourself 🤍
It’s at every job, you won’t get paid what you deserve. I quit my job 6 years ago and started my business. Today my husband and I own two businesses and they are on auto pilot. We now live the life we have always wanted.
The UK is very bad vibes. I’m leaving too… I’ve been trying to leave for 2 years unfortunately last year was terrible so it halted my plans, but this year I’m making it happen. Wishing you all the best on your journey ❤❤❤
good luck on your adventures ... nothing is cast in stone, i was 32 and single, and a year later was a step parent to two with one on the way!! just enjoy the day in front of you and see where life takes you.
35yr old female, no husband, doesn't want kids, live in south africa. Last year, I randomly packed up and spent 6 months in Argentina. This year in May, i'm going to Brazil. Will i be there 3 months, 6 months? who knows!
Lol feminism sounds it's worked wonders for women, 🇬🇧 can even retire same age as men 68 I hear there looking to up it to 71 you lady's going to have to work for another 30+ years😂
I am 41 years old, unmarried, without kids, and still living at home. I'm really not enjoying my job, and overall, I feel quite unhappy. Unfortunately, I can't afford to make many changes financially. I often wish I could just leave this situation. I'm truly happy for you, sis, that you've managed to work things out! 😢
You’ve got this! You will turn that unhappiness into the motivation to find something paying you more I claim it! Thank you for having the beauty of spirit to be happy for me even when you are still trying to work things out. It’s says amazing things about you! ❤
Come to Serbia ❤ Im an American woman (34), , single, childfree, pet free, plant free and started my own business in Serbia. Living abroad is definitely the answer! I've met many Brits abroad who are living their best life in Singapore, Thailand, Kenya, New Zealand, and more. It seems like for young Brits and Americans (plus Canadians), to live a good life is to leave.
@@blairinbelgradeTV ❤️ Hey! I shall look into Serbia is honestly not somewhere I have ever thought of. Not plant-free 😂 you said everything free girl. Yes unfortunately our economy has many young people feeling they get no benefits for spending their entire weeks in an office building. Some people I know work to pay rent that he 60% of what they earn and nursery fees that nearly wipe out their entire salary!
@postcardsfromzo Serbia is very underrated, and initially not a place I thought about moving to, but I ended up loving it after a week :) I have a few British friends who left, and they are living very nicely outside the UK. It's clear if you want a nice life, now you have to leave the US, UK, Canada, etc.
Older Brits should look at their options too! I am looking at doing a U turn after returning to UK after 18 years! I was looking for the England that doesn't exist anymore!
@anEnglishRoseacrossthepond Older Rich and middle class older Brits are exercising their options in: 1. Hong Kong 2. Thailand 3. Singapore 4. Spain 5. Kenya And many other countries....so I think young Brits should do the same.
I did the same thing when I moved to Canada from Korea. I ended up living there for six years. I worked, went to grad school, and met my husband. Now that I’m back home, I’m so grateful that I got to experience my life on my terms. Go for it! Wishing you the best on your journey.
What a brave girl you are. You will truly inspire others. I came to UK from Kenya at 35 with nothing. I’m lucky to be working here and spending the winter in my sunny home country. Be careful when you are out there.
You go girl!!! I love your free spirit, I’m in the same situation as you but I dwell on being 31 with no kids, single and having no family I take it as extra pressure because the only one I’ll have is my own, but hearing you embrace your singleness and seeing the light in your spirit talking about the year to come is just really inspiring
I'm preparing to do the same. It would great to meet other women doing the same in London. It gets awkward constantly slating the UK to friends and family who like it here😂
You're a detective? That sounds so cool. Can you do a follow up video what this job is about? I left UK in 2012 and moved to Hong Kong . My plan is to retire in Bangkok within the next 5 years.
I used to be but I quit. I now work remotely but I wont go into that too much for safety reasons (people online are crazy). It wouldn't be too helpful to do a vid on it because its a job I got my network and not application. I'll do videos on useful steps to take when you know you want to quit your job though. I'll also do videos on ways to make money remotely online as and when I've explore them and can give honest and thorough advice.
Go you ! You're doing what a lot of people would be scared to do. My sister is a detective in the police and the wage is ridiculous for the cost of living in the UK these days. I'll be 37 in 2 weeks. No kids but I do have a partner and he has an elderly dad so we can't just run off otherwise we would. You're in a great position to discover the wonderful things in the world and leave this sinking ship. I wish you so much luck and prosperity and a wonderful 2025 ! 🎉
Yess, I'm so proud of you 🤍 Good on you for choosing to move and go on a new adventure 🙂 Your inspiring me to do the same someday. God bless you on your travels! I can't wait to watch you on your journeys x

Thank you so much Kerry🙏🏾 . My story is like so many other in UK public sector/ emergency services careers unfortunately. Yes I’m really hoping to inspire those who feel stuck to see that you can just actually get up and move ❤
I left the UK 4 years back. Now living in lovely Africa, no bills and will hopefully soon be out rent and owning my own place. I don't like making regular payments like bills, rent or mortgage. I only came back to the UK once to visit and i can tell you there is something not right over there. The vibe is not right for human life, the energies you feel are a bit suffocating. I feel more free and lighter when I'm in Africa.
I love that for you ❤And it’ll keep you fit for life. Pilates is no joke! We don’t have to suffer in silence like the generations before we have enough examples of other options and are the most skilled we’ve ever been. Make yourself happy nobody else, I lived in Thailand for nearly a decade and it’s the best thing I ever did, I’ve drove all over South East Asia it’s a lot of fun, apparently Vietnam is really cheap and a great place to visit so I’d like to go there next, in all honesty the UK has nothing left to offer in comparison.
Love this! thank you algorithm! I just got back from spending 9 months abroad as was so miserable and fed up with dead end life in the UK. I went on a student visa to learn a language and it was so challenging but so enriching, and met a few people who I am now actually doing some freelance work for! I had to come back to the UK, but now I know I have the confidence to up and leave to a place I don't know anyone and make it work, I feel so much better. I was in a horrible head space of Compare and Despair before I left (all my friends are married, have kids, houses and supportive husbands and £ safety nets), but being away CHANGED me mentally so much for the better and feel so much stronger. Wishing you the best on your journey and its so helpful to hear we are not alone in how we feel about life ❤
YASSSS! love this for you it seems you had quite the life changing experience omg. Just reading this shows me you've learnt so much about yourself and gained so much. Girl we are not alone ❤ ❤
I have just come across this video and this video particularly resonates me. Having done a bunch of teaching gigs abroad, my friend settled back in the UK in Nov 2023 with the focus to find a relationship and to find stable employment. A year later and 1 day before his 37th birthday, he took his own life likely because of comparing himself to others, and couldn’t see a future for himself. He was single, renting a room with cheap rent and had passive income coming in from investments. He basically has unlimited freedom, but was unable to reframe his mind as mentioned in your video
Thank you! Its the broadcast journalist graduate in me lol. I'm hoping as I do more videos I can get more comfortable and give more of the chitchat vibe my friends get from me ❤
This is so inspiring! I'm 33 with a flat and a long term partner, but so miserable with work. Trying to figure out whether to start a family (biological clock!) Or sack it all in and travel the world. Took us so long to get on the property ladder and we're fortunate with that. don't yet have enough equity to switch to buy to let, but I have to question whether all this misery is worth it!
A really positive and inspiring message which resonates strongly with me. I'm selling my house in exchange for travel and new possibilities. I'm 54, male and solo. Good luck to everyone following their own unique life of adventure!
Yorkshire lass, same age as you! New subbie. rent my townhouse, no kids, a dog, a boyfriend about to go on a hiatus to! I get paid okay but everything is so bloody crap isnt it here. Love this for you
What will you do with your pet cat? I quit last year aged 32 and will most likely be leaving for Asia before I turn 34 in the summer. UK will always be home but winter/autumn/spring can be too gloomy and depressing. The infrastructure is crumbling (old trains, dirty public buildings and cracked pavements). It's better to experience another lifestyle while we're still attractive to potential employers, while we can still easily adapt to new surroundings and still have the energy to travel. As we're still young, if we find out we don't like it abroad, we can always come back home. For me moving to another a country is scary and takes courage, but the thought of sitting with a cup of tea in a cold dank living room in the UK as a pensioner having not seen the world at all, scares me more. I wish you luck! 😂
You are me and I am you 😂, 6 months out the year this place is depressing. Yes you are 100% on the money, this is the best time for all the reasons you’ve said. So glad you have that adventure to look forward before 34. Thank you for your encouragement ❤
Just saw your channel and subscribed. I moved from Jamaica as a 6 year old been in the UK most of my.life. Married one child now divorced and retired recently. Mum left a house in Jamaica for us, wanted to travel unfortunately covid came. House paid for now single and really want to travel like yourself. Luckily I have a friend that we can go on adventures with once some family things gets sorted. It takes courage to do what you're doing so all the best on your journey. The UK is not what it used to be wish I had followed my dream to move to Spain or Portugal just want warmth, less stress and me time.

I'm 29, recently single, working remotely and therefore doing the exact same thing. Just booked my flights to Guadalajara! Are you taking your cat with you? I am wondering what to do as I have one too, so far I plan to leave her behind and limit my travel to a few months. Never travelled with a pet!
Welcome to the club Tom! I’m so excited for you! I’m not taking my cats unfortunately, they will stay with my mum. I’ll miss them so much (stay tuned as Alfie makes an appearance int he next video 😂). I’ve seen many videos of people travelling with their cats though, airlines seem very accommodating so I’d defo check
I'm from London Shepherd's Bush Hammersmith Ladbroke Grove area W10 W 12. By faith in God I moved to Dallas Texas USA vitamin D3 Sunny and the quality of my life has gone up substantially it's not that America is perfect but the growth an opportunity is Paramount. The point is you can do it I would always be a British national if I go back to Europe I'll end up in Italy awesome Scandinavian place. I feel safer in Texas than I do with the Drill music, stabbings and Gangs which is ironic. Not many West Indians in Texas but that's changing because everybody's moving to the south from New York City. The expense in London is ridiculous especially Notting Hill. You can do it remember what our Winrush and West African family community went through to survive in England. By the way Nigerians run Texas😂 Also H1B visas for tech stem mathematics in engineering to all my UK peeps Elon musk and Trump is saying come come come come come!!
Only hard because I had to come to terms with not enjoying my career and the existential and self-doubt that came with months of not knowing what to do next. I reached out to my friends/network about how unsatisfied I was at my other job and was offered a remote opportunity. I am a big proponent of closed mouths don’t get fed and to not suffer in silence. Expressing my desires and not being afraid to be seen to be struggling or trying has changed my LIFE! Start with asking who you know and you’d be surprised.
Thank you ❤ I have savings, will be working remotely, keeping costs low and constantly on the look out for new opportunities when meeting new people as you need know and I always say closed mouths don’t get fed!
House = trap Kids = trap Husband/bf = trap 😂😂 those things do not define your worth. Too many of us really don't understand the luxury of choice we have today as women! Ladies enjoy your lives we actually have the opportunity those women dreamed of.. experiences 🎉
18:10 hello sister. you seem smart enough to know the difference between a risk and a gamble. I understand the tactical pivot you are making for yourself. Its about time beautiful smart black women started making themselves the priority. I love kids myself however i wouldn't have them if the position didnt favour me nor them. Its a ridiculous move possibly a trap into unhappiness. I wish you all the best.

Hey Felipe! So happy you now feel free, that is so important and what I feel like I will always be chasing. Good luck with the data science❤
You are inspirational😊
Thank you!! 😢
She's so beautiful tho...wen I get to Africa ima find her..I'm in Australia, 38..no kids, also relocating to botswana after 17yrs here. Where can I find her?
I just couldn't agree with the taxes and my family made to feel miserable I got out of the UK couple of years back and now I'm doing well
I'm 29, recently single, working remotely and therefore doing the exact same thing.
We're in the same boat
£500 per month in a developing country, is quite a lot if money.
Embrace the Adventure
Thanks for the video and inspiration! What remote work will you be doing? Was it hard to change career?
Only hard because I had to come to terms with not enjoying my career and the existential and self-doubt that came with months of not knowing what to do next. I reached out to my friends/network about how unsatisfied I was at my other job and was offered a remote opportunity. I am a big proponent of closed mouths don’t get fed and to not suffer in silence. Expressing my desires and not being afraid to be seen to be struggling or trying has changed my LIFE! Start with asking who you know and you’d be surprised.
Im so white Im borderline transparent and trust me, I cant cope with the weather here either! Good luck with the travels
😂😂😂
My doughter thing same as you,she dose not like in england she wants to be in warm a d near bea h
How amazing for her! What was her favourite experience?
Take me with you. I'm ready to leave this UK
😂😂
Love this journey for you! How are you supporting yourself financially? 😊
Thank you ❤ I have savings, will be working remotely, keeping costs low and constantly on the look out for new opportunities when meeting new people as you need know and I always say closed mouths don’t get fed!
House = trap
Kids = trap
Husband/bf = trap
😂😂 those things do not define your worth. Too many of us really don't understand the luxury of choice we have today as women! Ladies enjoy your lives we actually have the opportunity those women dreamed of.. experiences 🎉
🤣🤣
Please could you share the ways you’re still making an income because that’s something a lot of people struggle with
I agree it has bad vibes...u healthy food expensive heating small houses high prices double faced people
She who dares wins.Good luck!
Absolutely!❤
The uk is so dead it’s like u can’t find love here or afford to buy a house or do anything but work work work 😢
18:10 hello sister. you seem smart enough to know the difference between a risk and a gamble. I understand the tactical pivot you are making for yourself. Its about time beautiful smart black women started making themselves the priority. I love kids myself however i wouldn't have them if the position didnt favour me nor them. Its a ridiculous move possibly a trap into unhappiness. I wish you all the best.
Thank you for your kinds words. Yes gamble is probably a better word for sure ❤
I feel the same.
Where ever you go I wanna be...
What about the cat?
🤍🤍🤍🤍
Im in Germany...same ideas! Want to leave....
You look 25 x

@@gani2an1 haha my target are women because I will likely be speaking so much from that perspective ( it may put some men off anyway), but you are welcome here of course! 🤗
