About this channel: I talk about designer and niche perfumes. I'm also wearing a simple homemade perfume made with a mixture of 20% organic Mexican vanilla oleoresin (and 80% jojoba oil). It is crazy how many compliments. From both men and women. It is very sweet, but also dark and quite smoky. Very relaxing and a real afrodiziac.👌
I agree that as a woman I love woody scents for my husband such as sandalwood, cedar, and some ouds as my top woody scents. I also like these scents in my fragrances as well. Great review!!!

Not a long time ago I have pulled the trigger and bought a gorgeous perfume named
Ella K. - Cri Du Kalahari
This is a mind blowing and truly addictive scent,seems like they done right what most only aspire to do.
I do recommend to put your nose on it,probably you will love it as well.
Ever since then I’ve been searching the next sandalwood based perfume that will blow me away.
Maybe Tam Dao is the next one?

I bought the edt, I didn’t know they had a edp, and it’s so weak that I can hardly smell it. It lasts about half hour on my skin, barely. Yes it’s a nice sandalwood but I have in my extensive perfume collection much better and much more beautiful sandalwood fragrances. I will not keep it nor return it since I sprayed it a few times. I will give it to my husband. I give him all the masculine or unisex scents I blind buy that I really don’t like. Or I don’t like them on me. I really have to stop blind buying…lol

Dimitri, very knowledgeable review. The sandalwood is beautiful in this creation. Please review Tempo-it is another beautiful creation. Do you know any background on the research Diptyque pulls its’ inspirations from? Vietnam plays heavy on many; like Do Son, Tam Dao and Tempo. Blessings.
Hey Jerry, will certainly review Tempo in the future, one of my favourite patch perfumes ;) the inspiration usually comes from the owner's (there are 3) love of foreign extravagances. For instance Tempo was created by using woody extracts taken from the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, hence the name. Take care
One or more of the owners would spend summers in Viet Nam as a child. This had an influence on the perfumes.

I love sandalwood and had to get a decant of this! Such a calming and relaxing scent. I love to wear my sandalwood fragrenced in spring and summer. Geo f. Trumper sandalwood cologne is a good one for men if you dont wabt to break the bank. I like creed viking even though everyone else hates it. Now that it has gotten so much hate i picked up 500 ml for 600 bucks. Thats almost what they are selling 100 ml retail for so if you like viking like i do and can get it for a good deal its a great sandalwood fragrence. Last but not least is 1725 by Histoires de Parfums.

Just discovered your channel. Very promising. I love Tam Dao... best sandalwood perfume. I also love sacred wood from Killian ( was unfortunately a bit reformulated and discontinued)...still very nice. I also love molecule 04 a lot... unfortunately I can't rarely smell it on myself because it's too close to my nose and makes me anosmic....but it fills rooms.maybe u smelled it on someone and know the scent....for me it smells similar to Tam Dao.

I am really glad you enjoy the channel 🙏 Hope you stick around! By Kilian in general is a great brand, haven't tried Sacred Wood but I liked every scent that I tried so far.. Concerning Molecule 04 I suggest you apply it on your wrist instead of your shoulder blades or neck, that way you should be able to smell wafts of it as you move your arms. Having a scent too close to your nose inevitably causes anosmia, especially if it's from this brand ;) take care

In your experience , is it the same scent as santal 33 or it is quite different ?

I thought I’d blind but this but I’m afraid it’s going to smell too much like Santal 33? Is it anything similar as I’ve heard a couple of people comparing the two? I’m really just looking for a sandalwood fragrance that smells natural.
Never tried Santal 33, but i guarantee that this one smells very natural. The great thing about diptyque is that if you buy from their website, they send you a sample of the perfume you chose, if you don't like, you can send the bottle back 🤯
what is your signature scent? Can you tell me if this is the best sandalwood scent you tried, thinking of buying Egoiste, Santal by Floris or this one, this would be a blind buy tho :/
Hey man, out of the three you mentioned Tam Dao is hands down the best. Egoiste was amazing in the 90's when actual sandalwood was used. The great thing about Diptyque is if you order from their website they send you a sample of the fragrance you bought in order to try it. If you don t like it you send it back. Don t really have a signature scent, I use 5/6 fragrances more than the others I own though

The smell itself is rather masculine but if you are into woody perfumes you should go for it ! I never smelled it on a woman! Anyway your skin is the last ingredient needed for a perfume to become alive, so it might surprise you :)

Not really brother, it's very woody and in my experience women prefer scents that have more of a hesperidic musky vibe
The "scent" may be good, but it's performance is absolute TRASH!!!
