i wonder if Acuna is just tired. he pretty much played year round. Besides the strikeouts, his power is gone, he's a singles hitter so far this year. That = tired to me.
Thanks both Jake and Grant. You guys are awesome. I watch every episode of course. Boy this series was rough. Hopefully we can get down to LA where the weather is much warmer and can finally get our offense going again. We should hope to at least win the series in LA as we usually play the Dodgers pretty well. Maybe Acuña can get a couple home runs to help out the remainder of the top of the lineup to get their slumping bats going.
Something is definitely off with the ball dying at the warning track with some of the shkts these guys have hit. It's rare that the players truly think they got all of one and it dies 5 or 10 ft from the wall. That's happened to Riley several times lately and Olson as well.
I just want to know why kelenic wasn't in left wednesday against the RHP? I wanted kelenic to be the everyday LF to see what the kid could do with no pressure on him to carry the team.
I wasn't doom and gloom! I just stated facts but I said it during the winning begot the mariners series. After watching the previous couple series it was obvious teams were starting a trend with feeding the Braves a healthy dose of fastballs. I just felt like with the dodgers and mariners coming up and there pitching I thought it would be a tough series for us. It looks like the bats are starting to wake up. They got to a few fastballs today that was nice to see. The adjustments take time and will come. Sooner rather than later please!
Well guess it's 680 for me from now on since Bally and Comcast can't get their garbage sorted out. A shame but it is what it is. But hey the Braves are now officially undefeated in the post Xfinity era!
Aside from Ozuna and D’Arnaud, this team looks bad at the plate so often. Other good teams lineups are vastly outplaying/outhitting us. The Phillies look dominant. The Dodgers lineup producing more. The Cubs regularly tearing it up. Orioles, and more American League teams too. So little power outside of Ozuna. Very concerning
Would love to hear the offline discussion between you two about the balls not going for home runs. I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist but I wonder if they went back to the dead balls from a couple years ago
Where the hell is Sean Murphy!? d'Arnaud has obviously done just fine, but with the way the offense has been struggling I'd rather have d'Arnaud in the lineup every 3rd day than Chadwick Tromp.
