    Anyone offended by a woman breastfeeding her child in a public space simply needs to respectfully look away. It's that simple. 🤷‍♂️

      why would someone be looking anyway? these people are just weird.

    • @apostatereacts
      @apostatereacts หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @@sorh I think that sometimes, people aren't looking deliberately, their eyes just land in the wrong place. Which is fine, none of us can help that. What we can **all** help, is continuing to look when our gaze is so obviously unwelcome.
      Sometimes a kid's gotta eat. There's something seriously wrong with anyone who finds that offensive.

    • @LangVEVO
      @LangVEVO หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think "look away if you don't like it" is such a terrible argument, especially if you use it with a lot of other examples or scenarios. But I do think it's okay to breastfeed a baby in public

    • @apostatereacts
      @apostatereacts หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@LangVEVO The point is that while everyone has the right to be offended by anything, they don't have the right to impose their sensibilities on others. So yeah, averting their eyes is their only option. They can rant about it later, in private, with like-minded people who are inexplicably upset by the sight of something normal and natural.
      Obviously, this argument doesn't apply to scenarios in which someone is being harmed and there's a responsibility to intervene. 🤷‍♂️

      I worked in a care home for people with dementia before retiring and her words resonated.
      I still miss my amazing colleagues (including a lot of teenage girls and a few lads, we still have incredible young people in our country). I miss the residents but sadly and inevitably, many have passed on, and those remaining will have forgotten me.
      I had so many memories, so many laughs, and great banter with residents who are less affected. One in particular had a wicked sense of humour and caught me out with a joke.
      I think of some residents as friends. I see them on Facebook in activities or on trips out.
      "Moral duty" seems a bit pretentious, but certainly a duty to residents and to their relatives who trust us to care for those they love.

      I'm retired, but I would love a paid job to boost my pension. No one wants me, because I'm not as fast as I used to be in walking, and they're scared I'll keel over or something.
      My cousin was desperate to work, but no one wanted him because he had a guide dog (he eventually had an unpaid job at the CAB).

    The NHS has severe problems we all know about that, the US health care system is way more complex to describe. If you have good insurance, you are likely in great shape, best medical care in the world perhaps, far better than the UK. But if you do not have health insurance (30% of population perhaps) you have very little or no care. Even if you have okay insurance, it can run away from you, cancel you or just refuse to pay for service. And if you have to pay for the insurance yourself, it can be shockingly expensive esp if you have preexisting conditions. So yeh it is kind of broken.

      @@内田朝陽-e6h The Government and Certain migrants are to blame.
      Instead of housing people on waiting lists/homeless/veterans they house people that came here illegally on boats who are almost entirely men aged 20-30 and not from war torn countries.
      Instead of building new homes for locals they build overpriced housing for foreigners and build cheaper housing that are then used to house "Asylum seekers" [look at Cardiff] at the British tax payers expense
      "Asylum seekers" are given priority health care whilst Brits who paid into the system have to wait hours to be seen to, my grandmother had to wait over 8 hours in the ambulance before getting seen to!
      "Asylum seekers" are given free public transport which they frequently use to come into rural areas like my village and commit crime [they've tried breaking into my home, tried robbing me at work, harrassed children outside the school and robbed the charity shop]
      "Asylum seekers" are given free priority dental care, when myself and others have been on a waiting list for a dentist.
      "Asylum seekers" smuggle firearms throughout Europe [theres numerous videos of them shooting Fully automatic rifles and belt fed machine guns in France], more recently one was photographed brandishing an AKS-74u in Rochdale.
      "Asylum seekers" get away with committing crimes, police never show up whenever myself and others have reported their crimes I have even had to chase one away with an axe because no police came to help!
      These people film themselves coming to the UK illegally for free handouts and for "White girls" they even make top 5 lists on youtube on what countries to illegally migrate to.

      @@PP-bw8igNeanderthals? You'd be surprised by what the Neanderthals did for us European and Asian folk.
      I have Neanderthal DNA, as do many of the European and Asian people alive now.
      I believe that East Asian people have the most Neanderthal DNA, and I trust this remark isn't aimed at them.
      I do hope, of course, that you are being ironic and don't actually subscribe to the awful outdated view of the Neanderthals as simply sub-human brutes.
      To compare modern humans to this outdated and odious image is, frankly, ridiculous.
      That would be....ooh....what's the word I'm looking for when you disparage an ethnic group based on their unalterable characteristics?
      NB Knuckle walking is, of course, an evolutionary adaption used by our distant ancestors and now by chimps and gorillas.
      The orangutan of course fistwalks, and I think fist walking predates knuckle walking, but I might be wrong..
      I'd have to check as it's a long time since I read anything on the subject.
      Modern humans and Neanderthals therefore never walked on their knuckles as it was lost in the human line some two or three million years ago.
      Isn't it wonderful that people like you can lampoon others, eh?

    What if some of that glass went into the foot or leg of the person who dropped it and severely severed an artery? Would people be cheering then?
    The first thing people should do is worry whether someone has been hurt when they hear a glass breaking. They can cheer when they find out they are OK.
