- So many requested it! To be fair I am not convinced this is The Doctor's Theme but it does share similarities.

Oh man, we out here mixing The Doctor's Theme (Series 4) with touches of 15's theme. Gold was having a field day with this one.
Watch the episodes already
12 doctor 😀 and he said "I'm the Doctor"
Alonsy!!!!
Adaptation of "Never Tell Me The Rules" in Time of the Doctor which is an adaptation of "You're Fired" from The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe which in itself is an adaptation of the musical bridge of "The Doctor's Theme Series Four' in Forest of the Dead.
ladies and gentlemen murray gold king of adaptations
you are very scary looking
I havent seen many people talk about it, but its incredible to see the series 5 vortex again, intentional design or not. The gas clouds and lightning look amazing, espceially with the modern CGI. It was absolutely mesmering in cinemas.
Say what you will about empire of death. But you cant deny the music was yet another murray gold classic
That was SUCH a cool episode!!!!!!!! WOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!
I would say it’s a never tell me the rules variant. I can’t really hear that doctors theme too much but it does have some slight similarities.
Never Tell Me the Rules is The Doctor's theme (from series 4)
@@OswinPondis it really?! I just did a cover of that track and never noticed the parallel. Now ima go look it up. Mind blown!
@@OswinPondI thought it was “this is gallifrey”? Never ever tell me the rules is a spin on that, when gallifrey grants him more regenerations?
@@kylemccrory8509 "Never Tell Me the Rules" features a bit of the Gallifrey melody, but the section that immediately follows it is a new version of "The Doctor's Theme Series 4" (very specifically the grand Series 4 version, from the Doctor saving River in Forest of the Dead). That same theme also appears in "You're Fired" and "Flying Home for Christmas" from The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.
It has the same notes as the climax of 10th's theme played backwards, so it's ascending instead of descending
everybody lives rose, EVERYBODY LIVES! JUST THIS ONCE!! EVERYBODY LIVES!!!
Everybody lives Ruby, EVERYBODY LIVES! JUST THIS ONCE!! EVERYBODY LIVES!!!
@@rudrasingh6354 no.. No... It's a 9th doctor line not 15th...
@@Noon1263still couldve made 15 say that as a callback. Wouldve been epic
@@Doctorwhoenjoyer true
I'm gonna be sad if this OST doesn't get a release soon.
I'm gonna be even more sad if this piece isn't on it.
Kinda variation of “you are fired”
I'd also say that the music reminds me of "Flying Home for Christmas" which could mean this is the theme for the Doctor flying through the time vortex to bring life to someone who'd died
That's because "Flying home for Christmas" just like "You're Fired" and "Never Tell me the Rules" are all variations of "The doctor's theme (series 4)"
Never ever tell me the rules ha haaa, regeneration number 13, We are breaking incredible barriers here guys, and I warn you that it will be incredible haa haaaa
Omg l Loved🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WHEN THE SONG STARTED I STARTED TO SCREEAM REMEMBER THE 11TH DOCTOR DESTROYING THE DALEKSS
LOVE FROM GALLIFREY BOYS!
Definitely "Never Tell Me The Rules."
I don’t hear the doctor’s theme. Im confused.
@@ShortCircuitStudios The one from series 4, the second motif you hear when he saves River
I can't hear it
@@Hughesy313-f1y Think of the series 4 variant. The part where he flies in the vortex-lift to save River, or when he's granted more regenerations in Time of the Doctor
I don't like this. It is a "generic hero orchestration" with no leitmotif.
Murray Gold used to be more original.
@@volo870 Not a huge fan either, I much preferred all the music at the end of the episode for the emotional bits
There definitely are some bits of ‘The Doctor’s Theme’ sprinkled in, especially in 0:07 or 0:42. It sounds just too similar. And if by coincidence-still love it. Thank you, Oswin, for your uploads, as always greatly appreciated!
I honestly hear "Never Tell Me the Rules" here, but that's just me.
Never Tell Me the Rules is The Doctor's Theme from Series 4
@@OswinPond True, but it sounds more like the arrangement in "Never Tell Me the Rules", if that makes sense
I loved this theme, it fitted with the scene so well and had so many call backs to previous themes in it! Thanks for this! 😊😊
Everybody lives, except Suhtek and Harriet
Wait like 6-12 years, and they'll do something with Sutekh again
@@SlewedBoot25934its needs to be sooner than that for this season finale to make any sense.
Can we get the track when the Doctor kills Sutekh? Really feel that is a major part of that scene along with Gatwa’s performance.
As for a title guess maybe “The one who brings death”?
Sadly there's way too many SFX in the track, it's too painful to listen
YESSS been waitin for this thank you!!
‘Bring death to death, everywhere!’
Could we get the part of the theme where sutekh dies if that's cool, it was VERY powerful and maybe 15s theme
Reminds me of 10 & 11.
I can't stop listening to this soundtrack, it's just so triumphant! I'm addicted to it, bloody hell!
Release the soundtrack Murray / Silva Screen Records. Pwease.
Congrat Murray Gold
Could you do the one where 15 looses it for the first time in dot and bubble and then when he looses it again in empire of death (along with the copy of bad guy and poker face they do)?
I would say it’s more like never tell me the rules instead of everybody lives
It's "The Doctor's theme" from series 4. The title was just about the scene, not the leitmotif used ! :p
@@OswinPond oh my bad
this one really sounded like a remix of never tell me the rules
So it’s a mix of a good man from 12, Never tell me the rules from when 11 regenerates at Trenzalore and a sprinkle of series 4’s Doctors theme
You forgot Doomsday, Clara's theme and the Slitheen theme. It's all in there somewhere
@@OswinPond I remember Clara’s theme from Face the raven was played partly over the bit in the specials where Donna asks the Doctor where he’s been all this time
@@adamfoster5309I was being sarcastic haha. But no that was Every Christmas is Last Christmas, not Face the Raven
Its not the doctor theme, not at all, that's "never tell me the rules" with "the doctor's theme" (series 4) intruments and slightly arrangement
and there's those who says that is the same but actually, never tell me the rules is more louder and epic than original series 4 doctor theme, but they share similarities in their core
Never Tell Me The Rules is a Doctor's Theme (series 4) variation. It's even closer to the version in "You're Fired"
Never tell me the rules really did sound like Capaldis theme if you think about it so it sounded like his theme when i first heard it it sounds real great
This reminds me of "Never tell me the rules" soundtrack too
That's because Never Tell me the Rules is The Doctors theme from series 4
@@OswinPond Yeah I realised that after I commented haha! Never noticed
