What a gift, especially to those of us in the USA, who are wrangled with such sadness all around us. I sent it to a friend, a priest, who lost his dad to CoVid-19 on Easter day, and whose mother has been in hospital for 50+ days. We both wept. Thank you.
Currently a part of our church choir has the privilege to study this piece - at a lot of meters distance because of covid-19 for the service of Oct. 11. I am sure this music will bring us spiritually closer to Him and each other overcoming the necessary physical distance. My favorite is m. 43-44. The harmonic mood on the third beat of m22 (01:19) is a moment of heaven. Of course, that's not the only one; I can't list them all, I'll be here all day.
