  • Starting the Blackstone engine at the Booleroo Steam and Traction Rally, South Australia, Australia. The engine is 125 HP and 240 RPM. Last used in the Mypolonga pumping station, driving two pumps, during the 1956 floods. A fabulous day at the rally and worth the 4 hour drive north of Adelaide. I came home smelling of diesel, oil and dust! Read more about this engine in their catalogue - www.booleroost.... Video by Fran West - www.franwest.com.

Love it! Why does the light-torch blow-back? Is there a leak from the head/hot-tube/ thingamajig?

I just film it. You need to contact someone who works with these sorts of machines and knows the answer. I love the sight and sound of these big machines but "I know nothing!"

    That started way too easy.

A lot of fiddling with the machine went on beforehand. I just happened to film the easy part.
