After Godzilla attacked Ginza, they picked up samples of cells from Godzilla when they had tanks shooting it, so they used the cells on Noriko (prob as an experiment too).
There's a movie called Godzilla vs Biollante from the 90s I believe, a scientist tried to revive his daughter by mixing the daughter's cells with Godzilla cells. What we got was a plant Godzilla monster.

Noriko may have been exposed to Godzilla's cells (G-cells) when she was hit by the blast.
The tanks had just lit Godzilla up, and he was also between her and the detonation, so a lot of G-cells would've been carried in the shock wave right to Noriko, and passed into her body as she was being lacerated by all that debris. The director confirmed the G-cells saved her, but we don't know who she got them.
Noriko may even have been clinically dead, but like Godzilla down in the ocean, the regeneration brought her back.

I can't think of a scene that would be more terrifying in real life than being chased by Godzilla in the water.

The thing on Noriko’s neck is Godzilla cells. She probably got infected when she fell into the water with Godzilla in it. So she was regenerated because of Godzilla’s cells. Also Godzilla is immortal, so no matter what you do to him, he will always come back.

HOLY CRAP, do I believe the Oscar hype!!!! Minus One was beautifully done and animated. I wasn't expecting Noriko to have survived, but those Godzilla cells literally saved her neck.

Shin Godzilla is also good but in a very different way. It has connections to Neon Genesis Evangelion that give it a similar feel to that show. One of the most fun Godzilla movies is Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001).

I think both the reviewer and the rest of us realize that. It’s really horrible what happened to those boys. I cannot even imagine what it would be like being put in that situation.

Yes. It reanimated her (for lack of a better word), just like Godzilla’s cells reanimate him.

The reason why Godzilla is so angry is because he's 50 meters tall with a body plan that just does not work in Earth's gravity. It's like he's got full body arthritis and the only thing keeping him alive is his healing factor. He's in constant pain.

He’s upset about the atomic bomb too and basically being burned alive by it.

“All about honor and sacrifice for the greater good.” Some Japanese are, absolutely. But Japan was also responsible for uncountable numbers of civilian deaths during their conquest and occupation of huge areas of Asia, including China, Korea, and India, during the 1920’s and 30’s. Some of their conduct was so appalling even the Nazis found it distasteful. And unlike Germany, Japan has obscured the truth of what it did from its own people. You can see that for yourself even in this film, when they mention how their government’s militarism cost so many Japanese lives, the screen writers being either unaware of, or unconcerned with the many millions brutally murdered by Japanese soldiers. Some of their behaviors are almost unspeakable, yet they have never come to terms with this part of their history. Not unlike ourselves in the U.S.
