1) should we apply anything to base before applying sculpture paint 2) to mix sculpture paint with Platte knife should we use glass or plastic? I see red rose base, is it glass? 3) after preparing petal or leaf, how to dry it and paste on board later

no, very rare and exact ingredients in proper ratio are needed to Sculpture paste, which is done only by the manufacturing companies. there are other ways, but don't exactly work well....
if the paste applied on base is still wet then you can place the leaf directly on it and press the ends of leaf with pallet to merge both, which will make it stick to the base... If leaf and base paste are both dry, then use paste or glue to paste all pieces on place...
