Really really love this show, said the same thing on pateron but really glad you're checking out this show, and doubly glad you seem to be really enjoying it so far, theres a lot more to come. Also fun ironic fact, the show came out in 2020, and based on the date on the milk and school picture its loosely implied the world ended in or around 2020....probably meant to be meta joke with year the show came out, but also the year we had an IRL pandemic...so yaaaa lol

You’re going to love watching Kipo, and the best part regarding the music is that it’s actually important to the story. There’s a reason people sing these songs, it’s not just like a Disney movie where they do it for no reason
This show is a lot of fun. Took me a while not to hear Glimmer from She-Ra every time Kipo talked. I think Karen Fukuhara (her VA) really gets to shine here as the lead though. The music is also a highlight of the show so have fun.
The music is absolutely brilliant, and I already can tell it’s going to be a highlight for me. And there’s a good chance I’ll be watching She-Ra eventually as well!
Very good follow up to owl house and amphibia. A bit less of a straight up isekai, but still get all of those fish out of water culture shock tropes that are so good for throwing you right in the action from the start

Ive gotta say the soundtrack of the entire show is gonna be fire and unique, just as it was in this first episode. So fire it was that now, two years later after I watched Kipo, I still have some great songs saved in my playlist, and I loved one artist with some bangers in the soundtrack (Atomic Drum Assembly).

The Kipo soundtrack is one of the most fun and energetic mixes I’ve found.
There’s some genuine bops in this episode alone
A core part of the viewing experience for Kipo is realizing what "Mute" means after several episodes and feeling silly for not getting it sooner
