I'd like to be able to say I'm a Barbie expert, but I'm definitely not there yet, but as ppl have already mentioned, u probably should've got the whole thing. I would suggest that when u find at least one or 2 that u know are older (and as we're all learning, the date on the back is meaningless), I would just pick it all up. Another rule of thumb I'd suggest is that typically African American dolls are almost always gonna be more valuable and I have also found that even brunette dolls are typically more valuable than ur standard blonde Barbies because there were less made in a lot of the cases. The black barbie with the short red hair is Julia...the nurse off of the TV show Julia...her hair is not cut, it was short style...yes she is a real barbie...came in a nurse dress, or also a gold & silver jumpsuit..I am 64 & still have mine...most of them barbies were old ones.

I actually had the 63 Barbie, with her best friend Midge and little sister, Skipper. Had a carrying case, with a compartments/drawer to put shoes and accessories, and compartment to put dolls in. Also had the white plates with flowers on it. My ex-husband took the set in our divorce settlement, some thirty five years ago. Thank you for taking me down memory lane.

I literally have the wild flower set by corelle as my current plate and bowl set that we use in our house regularly lol My grandma passed away a few years ago and I got all of her kitchen stuff. These plates bring my fond memories of her feeding me as a child. Maybe I should put them away and stop using them daily LOL!

I have”Tonto” in his original Indian attire and Trigger, the Lone Ranger’s horse and his saddle… it’s pretty cool. Had them for years… can’t tell you where I got them from, couldn’t have paid much if I picked them up at a garage sale. I used to go “ garage selling” when my kids were small all the time. When everything back then we’re 25 and 50 cents! Those were the days. I actually went to one today,. It was fantastic! Most everything was 25 and 50 cents. They still exist around here! Absolutely love where I live!

Had a huge collection I had saved when I was a kid . When I was 18, I was at work and my mom gave them away. I had all of them all dressed up in an old roller skate case. There were my sister's in there too, probably 25 to 30 dolls. I cried and was so mad, my mom gave them to lady she worked with kids. I told her she should have asked me. I would have given some away, but some were sentimental.😟
