  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 27 ส.ค. 2018
  • In This HVACR Training Video, I show how to Use the Fieldpiece Wireless Job Link System Charge and Air Test Kit in order to check a Refrigerant Charge. Always make sure to turn on the temp and pressure probes along with the psychrometers before connecting them to the system in order to check the calibration in the Job Link App. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVACR Tech while doing this as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.

    As of 7/2023 Fieldpiece tech support is very poor, they have new guys that don’t know how to teach you how to use this setup. Best to watch a lot of vids. Also new batteries are key or your instruments will drop out of the app and go blank and drive you crazy . Take batteries out for winter time so they don’t explode and don’t use Duracell or Energizer they leak, use the Panasonics alkaline that usually says leak prevention on them and there almost as good as the Duracell/energizer.

    Thanks for teaching by the book. I strive for excellence in all my work and your vids help me gain more and more very detailed knowledge that very often, I see overlooked. I've repaired many units that prior techs condemned in order to sell a new unit. I know, less $ for me but in reality, more $ for me as I am flooded with great referrals and therefore stopped advertising back in 2004. BTW, if same video was with a fixed orifice, are there wireless for dry and wet bulb and what success have you had regarding the range of signal from the inside to outside? Thanks again for your effort & time in producing these vids.

    Quick question when getting superheat and subcooling measurements Isn't the best way to take those measurements when you're getting superheat is to take a temperature of your suction Line 6 inches coming out of the evaporator. To get a true superheat. Reading for evaporator superheat and when getting subcooling you would take it. 6in coming out of the condenser on the liquid line. Or does it matter?

    Also how many indoor Psychrometer Probes do I need? I am using an Sman480V. It comes with a wired dry bulb. I was using that for the outdoor temp sensor, and I was going to use one of the wet bulb psychrometers for the inside mini split head output temp. Do I need a second wet bulb psychrometer for the indoor mini split head intake temp as well?

      You cant go wrong with either testo or fieldpiece probes. I just happen to have fieldpiece and they work pretty well, thanks!

    Are they low loss?

    • @acservicetechchannel
      @acservicetechchannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are not low loss. However, the point of low loss is to not loose the refrigerant in the hoses to low loss fittings on these would defeat the purpose and add extra refrigerant that is removed into the low loss fitting during connection and disconnection, thanks!

    Can i get info on that tee ??

    • @acservicetechchannel
      @acservicetechchannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Julio, I got this tee when I purchased my cps vacuum gauge as it's included. Here is a link on amazon to the tee but it is a little expensive. It is odd that this fitting is not an easy one to find by itself with a valve core depressor and two schrader valves. Tee- amzn.to/2Pj594v - cps vacuum gauge- amzn.to/2Pah7NB

    On your training videos for the Field Piece Job Link you don't show or mention the Wet Bulb or Dry Bulb only the Delta T, why is that. Am I missing something?

    • @acservicetechchannel
      @acservicetechchannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe in this video that I was checking subcooling and so I didn't need to determine a target superheat which is needed on systems with a fixed orifice metering device. This system had a txv so I checked the charge level with subcooling, thanks!

    Did you have issues at the beginning trying to hook up the Fieldpiece JL3KH6 joblink kit to your app and tablet?

    • @acservicetechchannel
      @acservicetechchannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't seem to no but they should be very close upon startup. What kind of issues are you having!

    • @sergioterrones8724

      @@acservicetechchannel I actually figured it out, you have to give the app access to your location in order for the probes to get picked up by the app. I really don't like giving any apps any access to my location, or in that case any access to any type of files on my phone or tablet. I guess I'll have to give the app access while I do my work. Not too happy about that but ohwell. Thanks for your reply. Keep it coming with your awesome videos. I can't wait for your hard cover book to come out :)

    It doesn’t calculate delta t? Why not it’d be simple to implement

    • @Bill_CBR
      @Bill_CBR 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It does calculate delta T. Video was created 5 years ago. Application has been updated since it was created and does that calculation as well as long term data logging, like for up to 7 days.

    I have this on my "wish list" and am wondering about the range. I have some concrete buildings with rooftop units. Will the signal make it through reinforced concrete? Anyone who has this experience to share would be most helpful.
