    The flame is yellow because of impurities. Best to pass the gas through steel wool and through a water tank to filter out the co2 and h2so4. Then you'll get blue flame. Also, is it safe to keep the rubber tyre so close to the flame? It can make it expand and explode. keep a longer pipe, and keep the set up outside the kitchen.
    Good job and thanks for teaching. Hopefully, the whole world will do more of this and be fuel sufficient. and save the environment.

      Never thought about that. However, considering that the liquid starts making sulfur dioxide at first and then methane, the bacteria probably are in aerobic. But this is a natural process, that can be utilized to make methane.

    I recommend using a 90° elbow on the lid to prevent the tubing from kinking. Also a couple of flame arresters should be added. It's basically a piece of plastic piping filled with water with a hose fitting on each end, this will prevent the system from becoming a bomb if the flame goes into the tubing if the gas pressure gets to low.

    Concept proven well in your demonstration! Some safety should be built in for actual use. For the poorest people, this could life saving technology. For those who typically think this need could never occur, we should remember that to heat and to cook in a time of no electricity (grid down) SHTF, we would all need to use any low tech available to us so that we can survive. Saved video to my SHTF folder, liked and subscribed.

      Why only the poor? Something like this could reduce greenhouse gas, the need for sewage plantreduce kitchen waste, reduce landfills, improve the environment, reduce living costs, improve quality of life, provide FREE heat and gas, provide business opportunities and jobs. Things like this and permaculture can regenerate communities to take care of themselves and be self sufficient.

    • @JavaRatusso
      @JavaRatusso 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AN-gl3jx My intention was to say that this way of creating both heat for those in cold climates and for those who lack the income to buy fuel for cooking and heating this solution is absolutely a God Send gift. It literally can save lives. I'm sure you would agree that the rest of the world who lives with modern convenient means , we simply will not be abandoning our current ways of living. However, in times of catastrophic events or war... We could all find ourselves in that same state of poverty. You do make some great points though.

    Thanks for the great video just wonderful info to help people become more independent from the big oil companies!!! Keep up your wonderful work!!! In the 1970 I was working on a project making an expansion of the municipal sewage treatment plant in a very large city. There we scrubbed the methane gas and we ran pumps and backup generators with this gas. We had 2 methane gas storage metal spheres for storing the methane gas. We produced so much gas that we had to burn off the excess gas by using 2 torches that produce a 3to4 foot high flames that ran 24/7/365. Part of the expansion project was building 2 more 80’ diameter spheres. And that was still not enough storage space. They also had burners for getting rid of the excess gas!!! The funny/sad thing was this all took place during the Arab Oil crisis.... There was talk about converting the Municipal cars truck and buses to run methane gas... nothing ever happened. Now maybe we have learned our lesson (MAYBE) and we are moving more and more to electrical powered transportation!!!

    This method seems to work but I think you would benefit from a few key improvements. To start, the overflow should be in the very center of the barrel with an pipe on the inside to the dead center of the middle of the barrel. This is because it's the most stagnant and is decomposed properly. The bottom has a ton of bacteria while the top isn't ready yet. A valve would be needed to prevent unwanted flow. This material is used for your crops. Second improvement, you need a scrubber to clean the bad gas's out. This can be done with iron wool that is rusty. Bonds with the other gas that's not methane. This is VERY important. Also bubbling the gas after this step through water will further help purify. Lastly, a spark arrestor or flashback prevention is always a safe bet. Don't want to blow yourself up.

Otro punto es que se puede usar para uso domestico, transporte e industrial, ejemplo generación de energía eléctrica. saludos. www.nopalimexgasyenergia.com/429146774

    You need to add pressure relief valve that will release excess gas when we are away for holiday ( safety measure). Also, need to explain your audience that when refilling the waste tank. Close the ‘trapped’ gas in the tyre so you don’t lose so much gas during opening the blue tank. Also, use waste byproduct as Bio fertilizer once done with biogas production.

    You can put pvc pipe into barrel, make it go out lid and all the way into barrel. On end inside of barrel you can cut an angle for food, dung to enter barrel. When barrel full with dung or water the gas can’t leave thru the pvc pipe since liquid is blocking it.

    This lacks a back fire stopper which can be placed before the stove. It is easy to make let the gas bubbles into a bottle of water covered with some oil and get out of the bottles cap through the pipe to the stove. This simple step will prevent back fire in the system and blocks the fire from getting back to the gas container.

  • @AN-gl3jx
    @AN-gl3jx 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    won't the gas cone out every time you open the lid to feed? You need feeder pipe from bottom. Also it will work better if the scraps are at leastt minced. It won't be decomposed enough in seven days. Further more if this is methane the flame will be blue

  • @paultryba7228

    • @taylorballard9422
      @taylorballard9422 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@margaritoavila1306 Yes it is. Biogas is a naturally produced gas. Mostly methane carbon dioxide but also a small mixture of oxygen. It's a small percentage. But still a ground would not hurt. As percentages vary depending on the contents creating the biogas. As far as "gas cylinders" those are typically metal and purged of any oxygen prior to filling. Regardless it's NEVER a good idea to store flammable gas or liquids in a plastic container. Regardless of oxygen content. Container is contaminated with oxygen everytime he opens it. And I can promise you he isn't purging it with gas after opening it. It has oxygen.

    • @stefanwurmb2329

      Before storing it in metal you need to clean the gas, otherwise it will corrode quickly because of the H2S .

    the good thing would be to use a mini air conpresor to soup the gas out and avoid it coming back and causing accidents, but this project is good and just put some weight on top of the air chamber and it will help to push the gas out with more strength

    It can work if tightly fit all attachments..and you can't aspect it work emediatly ..after feeling bio waste and other things as long you preserve ..it will produce bio gase and you can use it in your kitchen ..and if you have farm and bafalos or cows more and with big drum you can produce more gase and it will work with fluency..I think so.
