Everlast released a lot of new products over the last year or so and by far the one that got everyone the most excited was the Powerlock 2. The original Powerlock was and is still used by multiple world champions in both boxing and MMA and has been sold in public stores like Dick's Sporting Goods and even your local Walmart. How could Everlast outdo their prized model? Well watch and find out!

These gloves are butterrrr. I might consider buying my first pair of everlast for these. Those are some nice looking gloves

Love the reviews Al I subscribed and been watching all your reviews just to learn overall about gloves. Quick question for a big guy like myself who weighs 300 ib. What’s better for sparring Ringside Apex Sparring glove or Everlast Power Lock 2 hook and loop.just a side note I would have to have get 16 oz since there is no 18 on Amazon or Rival RS80V 18 oz.Thanks

That's a good question! If you're going to use gloves specifically for sparring, Powerlocks would be a good investment for sure but the apex do come in 18 ozs on amazon too I just saw. Overall I love the Apex because they're less expensive and do a great job but still powerlock 2 (leather version) is a slightly better glove

Had the same problem with the thumb, had to return. Love the look and feel too it's a shame really but it's enough to not use them.

These are good solid gloves, as for the thumbs i have smaller hands i think more average sized hands and the right hand feels great! But its the left one that bothers me, after some breaking in its gotten looser and easier to use though would probably only ever buy them on sale tho

I’m considering buy these but these new moderns colors is just not a good look.. I understand if it’s popular with ‘fruite’ colors with separate thump color. But I still think they could have classic colors blood red same with the thump , all black inc thump at least those colors and options. Everlast is the most classic and deepest history boxing brand. But they where bought by a UK company Sports Direct. I’m sure that’s why they don’t sell classic gloves and don’t even sell simple pro boxing trunks anymore..
