3431 and 3455 were supposed to be slug units for a different railroad. Plans changed, and they never left. PNWR 3051 is in for a “class overhaul”. The BPRR Geeps are from FURX. The BNSF Dash 9 was involved in a derailment in early 2023. Great video George! Glad I could make an appearance in at least one of the video clips.
A little more info on the GEs RCPE wants to get. One of their representatives, the SD Railboard, they can't upgrade until the new shop is built. They didn't get the CRISI grant to build.
Nice video! Here’s some more info for you: 4001 and 4002 showed up basically totalled. They were shipped with water during the winter, froze, and cracked things up pretty good beyond repair. Not entirely sure on 3996. 988 was involved in a hefty derailment on a Pierre turn due to a broken rail in the dead of winter. BNSF wouldn’t take it back without repairs being made.

I got word on a train you may want to catch. Current GPS ping comes out of Nebraska as I'm typing this. Train X-FRSFLM5-19A. Leader 5461, train en route for the RCP&E interchange at Florence, MN. In the consist is KCS 4500 "grey ghost". Yes a KCS ghost bound for former DM&E rails.
So for clarity, this is a BNSF train that is going to get onto the RCP&E? This would sound like one of the ethanol trains that BNSF sends to Aurora, although on very rare occasion, the send trains to Sioux Valley. If this is the case, I have my scanner on to listen for any track warrants. Problem is, if it comes in the night, I'm not going to be able to catch it. I can't seem to find the train symbol for BNSF's ethanol train to Aurora, and I can't find what X-FRSFLM5-19A is. Maybe this is a match. Thanks for the info!
Do you have Flickr page? or another way of sharing photos? I'm modelling AGR 3412 and would welcome some detail shots of it or anything you have. 3412 has some unique details (i.e. on the cab roof, different dynamic brake etc etc). Thanks Wayne
I do have my website, kf0cci.net which has the link to the Brookings Rail page on the side bar, but I haven't taken any pictures of AGR 3412 yet. If I remember to, I might take some next time I see it and put them on there. Other than that, It has made a few appearances in past monthly RCP&E videos.
