Its worth mentioning those black plastic tabs at the top. They are NOT to be removed! Lots of comments below about cartridge prices. It comes with approx a 300 page unit, and if you buy third party, a 1000+ unit will be £20-30 depending on the day of the week. You can buy 3 or 5 unit packs for less, but by the time you have done 5300 prints? You'd probably need a new printer anyway. Its fine for what it is - a basic, simple, black and white, single sided printer. Documents - thats all. I personally have a large collection of data books - so for printing individual pages, its great. But this is not a business model - if you plan on having multiple users, all day - look elsewhere - and spend much more money. For an occasional home use or small capacity home business.... fine. I chewed through 300 pages in 3 days - but now I doubt I'll touch another 300 in the next year. Personally I never buy genuine ink, its a con..... And I used to work for Canon!

nice printer but at 35 uk pounds for a toner cartridge that only prints 300 sheets ..its a no go.
you can get a pantum p2200 that prints over 1000 copies and toner only costs 10 pounds.

Not much of a review. How many pages with included cartridge? How much is the replacement cartridge?

It won't make any sense for me to start talking about the price of a replacement cartridge. Why? Because there are people watching from more than 11 different countries around the world and price depend in which region you are located. I can list US and Canadian prices and start talking about them but this will be completely irrelevant to viewers from India and the Philippines.

@@printerinsider number of pages is universal. Use whatever currency is aprapos to you. Currency conversion is fast and easy.

@@kraftzion agree that pages per cartridge would be helpful, but hardware costs different amounts in different countries so doing a currency conversions wouldn't be helpful.

It seems that the cable you mention is not compatible, usb 3.0 while the printer has 2.0 port.

As another viewer replied, I would say close to 300 or even a bit more if you are not printing full pages with pictures. It's a shame but the default tonner does not come with the same amount of ink as the one you buy at the store.

the default is 300, but third party cartrdiges range from 850 to 1250. Bet on 1000 and you should be fine - third party.

No. I got one and it was a pain on the ass. Do not buy one. 40 pages used half the included toner.
