Spent Christmas in Hannover once, on a coach holiday, and the Harz mountain railway was one of the excursions. Absolutely brilliant!! I meant to go back in the summertime and stay in that hotel in Wernigerode which gives you such a good view of the engine sheds but I never got round to it. Maybe next year, eh?
