What I buy when I travel - Home Decor Travel Shopping haul

India is very diverse and there is so much to see absorb and take home. I love traveling and I love bringing a piece of that land, in the form of a textile or artifact, back home with me. Many people argue that everything is available online, but that's not true. With a little bit of planning and research, you can bring back very affordable home decor with you. When you have made plans to reach a place, it costs you some money, when the product comes home to you, it costs some money. So, when you travel and buy, its a win win coz you got the experience and you got yourself the goodies. I don't know if it makes sense to you, but it totally rocks.
How do you ensure you buy some good buys on a budget?
1. Do research before you go. Know what are locally made products and what they cost online and in your city.
3. Research good places to shop. I find local markets more affordable than touristy places.
4. Have a wishlist. This helps a lot, and you put in focused effort.
5. Make room in your luggage to bring it back. We usually carry a weighing scale to weigh our luggage and fill it to capacity :D
6. Keep an open mind, sometimes you can find some gems when you have a clear mind.
And enjoy the process of shopping while traveling.
