This is a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing.
    🙏🙏🙏
As I contemplate the Dhamma, the true teachings of the Buddha, I wished to see vocal cords ...
... so when I contemplate the voice, this is not mine, this I am not, this is not my self ...
This video shows exactly what I wished to see in terms of the body.
    🙏🌱🌈☀️

Its funny, I have that feeling that the cords only touch each other.. they dont seem like vibrating...

They are vibrating extremely fast. The pitch of sounds that you hear is measured in hertz meaning number of vibrations per second. The average male voice operates around 90 hertz to 500 hertz which means an average male's vocal cords come together 90 times a second to 500 times a second. Some men can go slower causing a lower voice and some faster causing a higher voice.

This is a stroboscopic laryngoscopy. The strobe is timed with the vibrations to create artificial "slow motion" in much the same way as you can film a car driving without spinning its wheels if the wheel position lines up with the frame rate. There's also an awesome video of a helicopter flying with still blades, which again is an illusion created by the frame rate of the camera.

You think that is the work of an all powerful and all knowing god lol, and in his image? Pretty lazy thinking don’t you think? 😂
The laryngeal nerve, which is partly responsible for controlling the larynx, actually runs from the brain, down to the heart and then u turns back to the throat…this made sense in our ancestors way way back but in many modern descendant species, it’s a good example of evolution and the interesting quirks that result.
You can always choose to pretend it’s not real of course, because it’s just too complicated 😂 Personal incredulity and all that

@@matthowells6382 Who says intelligent beings couldn't kick off evolution? Seems more plausible, then it all starting out of nothing, the big bang theory has started to collapse with the latest discoveries, so you have to start thinking on a new quirky theory pronto ;)

@@kalasatwater2224 Well that's kinda the idea haha. I'm not sure what discoveries you're referring to but when you have a theory that best fits the evidence and empirical observation and new discoveries are made, then you update/revise/throw out the theory.
It's that kind of rationality and humility that has led to us being able to argue completely virtually right now haha, and how we actually get closer to the truth....but you seem to prefer just sticking with what is more 'plausible' to you. Again, just seems lazy to me.
So don't come at me or science for 'quirky theories' mate, if you want to believe some convenient creator started it all with no evidence for that whatsoever, go ahead lol. (As if that actually solves the 'coming from nothing' fallacy)
I'm personally going with the scientists who actually know what they're talking about, are interested in finding what actually is true and spend their lives doing so 👍
