    Duuuuuude...this build is gonna be absolutely SICK!!...love watching your vids...new format is totally fine...it would be so badass if you went with an early 90s color theme and did white plastics with teal and pink graphic scheme and maybe some pink anodized rims...can't wait to see her come together!

    • @KincadePavich
      @KincadePavich  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks a ton for the comment! I LOVE the idea of the early 90s color scheme with modern body. That was kinda my initial idea, though it keeps developing. I'm still torn, but this is in high consideration for sure!

    I built a 99 YZ250 with a 293cc "big bore" kit.
    Best bike I have ever owned.
    I still have it.

    be cool to see white plastics but with blue graphics. I think it would be it interesting to see some gold and blue bling here and there. it's going to be a really rad bike either way.

  • @rztrzt

    @Kincade Pavich instead of the electric start which adds more complexity and weight maybe look into the Rekluse Radius CX clutch kit, it won't stall so no need for estart, you can still use it like a normal clutch and it hooks up even better that the stock clutch. Also many people seem to have issued with the panthera kits, quality is not up to scratch.

    That frame looks 👌. I went ahead and invested in the cerakote. I already had an air compressor as well as a cheap harbor freight cabinet. I recently moved and don't have the space yet to do it more. You definitely would want the biggest oven you can find. I would have done my frame and wheels if I had an oven big enough. There is the air cure too I guess. Anyways, I think it's worth it and fun if you like doing that stuff. Can't wait to see this thing compete in the B2B!

    • @KincadePavich
      @KincadePavich  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I really want to do it - just deciding when is the right time to pull the trigger on a very pricey air compressor... Appreciate your comment!

    You should consider a zinc plating kit from Caswell. It will save you money on parts and the zinc looks great!

    Shoot me a call when you get some free time this week.
    PS: here’s my quick brain dump for your bike… All black body, black wheels with silver nipples, Black DeCals with chrome inlays, and vapor blasted anywhere there’s raw aluminum. (except the bottom end, black Cerakote)

    I think you should watch highland cycles video on the e-starts before putting all that money into a 300 build. That saying looking forward to the build. If it's an enduro build you're going for a throw back to the 92 wr250 be sweet.

    • @KincadePavich
      @KincadePavich  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did go and watch his videos, and I'm certainly more skeptical. The concept is soo cool that it's tough to not want to do it, but I don't want to run into big issues and regret it.

  • @jacknyberg563
    @jacknyberg563 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The panthera starter from all the videos I’ve watched aren’t the greatest and I’m not fabricator or anything but I feel like swapping a ktm 300 motor in would be a lot more convenient as the stator doesn’t always go out and the e starts on the new ones are pretty good and reliable but either way super cool build idea and I’m excited to see the all the progress

    • @KincadePavich
      @KincadePavich  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I've watched the Highland videos and am slightly on the fence about it. Incredibly cool concept, but don't want it to turn into a headache.

    I personally think your bike last year was too much. Don’t get me wrong it was a badass build but way too much into it. Keep it simple. It’s always appealing.
    I’m not sure what level you are trying to get into cerakoting but it’s not that expensive. The compressor you need for the blast cabinet. But just cerakoting itself is not that bad. I use the same cleaning techniques Charles uses and use the air dry cerakote. I don’t have a large oven to bake stuff like Cameron does. For small parts I have a toaster oven some guy had on fb marketplace. I use that for bake out of my parts before cerakote. My parts are far from pro level but it was my first time doing it and they came out pretty decent. It’s always a learning game.
