LOL, Ash did develop into a more caring and kind trainer, but compared to Ash when he was a beginner, Goh is doing really well too! Some people just act like Goh is the devil or something
I agree, for a rookie trainer Gou is doing really good at least compared to Ash in the OG series XD Ikr people just like making Gou look bad for no reason but we Gou stans know he’s the besst
Goh is getting simply very fast development that ash also didn't got in his 1st series but yes ash is not someone who aims to catch any pokemons even legendary ones for his own amusement which I respect about him the most how he understand legendary pokemons comes with big responsibilities and that's y pokemons also end up liking him. No matter how much people compare goh with ash but old is gold and ash will always be the best one. Though I don't hate goh but I don't even like him since I don't find him interesting or determined except blandly collecting pokemons if there is no ash pikachu I wouldn't even mind to see this series.
@@dips92 I respect your opinion, and I do have more of a connection with Ash because I grew up with him and I can relate to him during his moments like losing, the times he would hide away his feelings, and how his connection with Alola really helped him understand the meaning of life. However, there’s a lot more to Goh than catching pokémon. He does it to understand pokémon and he looks after them. His captures are improving. He’s relatable to a lot of people when it comes to his struggles with friendships and being betrayed. The fast development was probably because of the darkest day arc coming so soon and the fact that the writers would get curb stomped if Goh didn’t stop catching so many pokémon with ease so episode 36 was when he turned over a new leaf, y’know? He’s trying his best to improve and understand pokémon like Ash does because Ash inspires him. I understand he didn’t start off great and many people who like Goh were worried about his goal but it’s getting better. Goh has the potential to be a great character in my opinion, we just need patience :)

I'm not even sure myself but I think they made Ash say that so Charizard couldn't refuse to stay or something, it's like they were trying for that scene be all dramatic by making Ash act like the "strong one" who's doing this for his Pokemon sake. That's my interpretation anyway but yeah there was no need for him to say something like that XD
I feel like when ash was in the more younger series of the Pokémon anime he didn’t really know as much as he has learnt now and I admit I have seen ash become rational when he is sad or angry and take his feelings out on other people or Pokémon but I feel like he’s beginning to become more mature as the Pokémon anime goes on like in Pokémon XY or Pokémon Sun and Moon orrr Pokémon Journeys.
I kinda bring this kinda stuff up whenever Goh gets hate, Ash is just was bad guys. Possibly worse LMAO. (Also I’m gonna be honest I find Ash being a horrible person hilarious anyway-)
