Always wanted one, is it easy to care for? Do they get sick easily?

I would definitely say they are a lot more work than it has been made out to be by aspects of the media. You need a decent amount of space - 8 sq ft minimum for two but I’d say 10sq ft at least. You need to make sure you have enough time to look after them. They can go through their whole lives without having any major health concerns, however when a Guinea pig gets sick they can get sick pretty quick. For example if they’re too cold they can get upper respiratory infections. But they are definitely worth it as they are absolutely amazing. Definitely make sure if you are getting one you get at least two because they are social animals and kept best in pairs or more.
