Wow!!! My hometown!!!! Nothing has changed in 55 years since I moved away!!!!! My final resting place. Still go back every couple of years!!! I love St. Albans, Dunbar and Elkview!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you
Thank you so very much for posting this. I have family that live in St. Albans and I also have lived there and South Charleston through the years but now reside in Chicago. This video is very sentimental to me because you pass the exact area that my dear grandmother lived in before she passed away. It was always very special to visit there as I only got to come maybe once a year for a short time. I will be coming to visit St. Albans next month. Can't wait! Thanks again for sharing!
I grew up off Old Route 60, George’s Drive. I left to join the Army in 1973. I was born at Thomas Memorial Hospital. First job was at the BBF across from the mound in South Charleston. After my Mom passed away in 1994, I never went back. Sure brings back memories of my childhood. Thanks!
I lived in Scott Depot West Virginia for 2 years before moving out here to Northern California….I gotta say out of all the states & cities I been to & visited in my 49 years …..West Virginia is the most back in time place in the Nation….very sterile & plain….very basic life without much action at all….very friendly people, I use to spend a lot of time in Huntington & Charleston , very quiet place but if your a loner or like a very quiet place to live that feels like your in a different world from all the violence & craziness you see online or the news then West Virginia is the place for you…..almost a seniors paradise
@@rickwalker5203 if you fall into the categories I mentioned above then you will love it, it’s very slow & very nice people even with there opioid issues it’s not a violent place like the rest of this country. Great place to raise a family & live BUT my family prefers more diversity & more of a city feel than rural.
I bought a vehicle in Saint Albans, WV years ago. Traveling on this road brings back some memories! I might make a trip up through there just to sh1ts and giggles. 🥰
I used to have a 10 mile strip I’m leaving from Dunbar to Saint Albans it was called Badlands adult bookstores strip clubs and even a topless car wash at one time I don’t know if this is true or not but I heard about it

Dumb question: What's with the construction around Southridge?
They’re adding on to the interstate

Tell me more about your area, moving there soon! Thanks
I enjoy living and working in this area. It’s not a very busy, crowded place.

The Town of Jefferson. lol Growing up, I remember Jefferson being known for these establishments.
Roads look just a bad as they did twenty years ago. Good to see nothing has changed much I guess. Those gas prices though, sweet Jesus.
i live in st albins oliver st
that rattle sure makes the video hard to watch.
Then don’t watch it.
I kind of like the rattling sound when you look at the road that’ll explain it
GET LOST THEN !
Either mute it or watch something else.
