Probably no one is going to read this, but still I'd like to order my thoughts about Chelsea's death. Even if she is an off character, I think it's one of the one I've most appreciated. She is shrewder than everyone else in the Night Raid; she is really clever tho she has the problem that without her Imperial Weapon she is way too weak (I say this because she isn't a fighter like Tatsumi.) . The problem about this is that once she gets "uncovered", her chances to survive are pretty much zero. I liked the fact that she talks about why she kills someone after doing it, almost like she wants to explain why to end the life of a man with family, wife, friends, sons or daughters. When she said "So the one who gets punished is me, at last.", it made me think about karma, and how unfair her death was. In fact, at the end I've found Kurome unfaithful, as she didn't die after a deadly attack and she somehow had the strength to control 2 bodies using her Imperial Weapon. I'm really sorry because she died in a kinda silly way; she had right "objectives", she wasn't a freaking demon like Esdeath, who kills with barely no reason, but still in the anime her death was just worth some seconds of all the episodes. The death of others, like Sheela, were less "sad" than her, but still they were in some way more important. Was it because they sacrified for someone and if one doesn't that same person is selfish? Sorry for my sure many mistakes, I'm writing everything without checking as I usually do, moreover I'm Italian. Thanks to whoever spent some minutes just to read a stupid impression of the death of an anime character. Stay awesome!

I like how Lub and Chelsea both died to something ridiculous in a way. A major factor to Lub's death was the fact that he was randomly stabbed in the back by a DEAD GIRL which allowed his opponent to get his weapon back and use it to teleport Lub into space and then we know the rest. Chelsea not only played her cards perfectly, she got Kurome while she was vulnerable and injected her through the neck a needle, something that is FATAL. She also took Kurome's sword while she was leaving but Kurome literally came back to life to something that literally should've been lethal. But hey Chelsea crippled Kurome after that fight. A major part of Lub's death was to a girl that should've been dead, while Chelsea's death can be viewed as plot armor.
Maybe give a story that follows the characters in the after life and the goal is to over throw the corrupt god who allows such evil to flourish in the first place... Wouldn't need to bring them back from the dead and you could have a lot of interesting characters.
Such depressing death. The fact that her feelings for Tatsumi never reached him is really heartbreaking. She didn't spend much time with night raid, didn't get to know everyone better, and despite her braveness she did a good job. Unlike the other members of night raid, she had the most unfair death. Who knows if she would be able to take out kurome in an one to one battle.
Best character in the anime, and the only one that was well-developed. Her character wasn't one dimensional like the others, and felt the most "real", partly due to her story but mostly due to a clear showcase of her cheery facade masking deeper inner thoughts, something that was lacking in ALL other characters, including, weirdly, the main character Tatsumi (you would think the writer would make his development more prominent, but unfortunately that never happened). Her death made people feel something, whereas all the other ones felt rushed or were simply "surprising" due to their shock factor. The weakness of the anime lies in its pacing, often you would have one character die, everyone in the Night Raid be sad, and then a few scenes later they're having a fucking laugh about something. The untimely comedy relief was ALWAYS really really unnecessary, and the only times they didn't do it were for the deaths in the final battle and Chelsea's death.

If there was ever a moment in this anime for there to be one of the plotarmor save by some slim luck it was here, even though the series was so short they developed each character with a lot of depth for such a short series, and Chelsea was the best one.
Chelsea has fought all her life to survive and to achieve her goals, going through a lot of difficult times, sometimes even surprising you, but never giving up. (those who have read AGK Zero know what I'm talking about) When she had Gaea Foundation she swore to change the corrupt world for the good of all, thus showing her compassion for others. I remind you that even Chelsea is an assassin, she knew her job and the danger it was, the life of an assassin can stop overnight at the slightest mistake and even if Chelsea is a professional killer, she is not perfect. Her somewhat provocative and inheriting character is only there to make sure people don't get attached to her... After losing her team on her way home from a mission, she doesn't want to go through that again, thus helping and saving these teammates Night Raid when needed. Which makes her the most endearing character if we decide to research her story a bit more. She taunts Mine a lot but it was just for fun, she even fell in love with Tatsumi doing everything possible to impress him until the end, so that he finds her awesome. She is beautiful, kind, caring, funny, curious, master in the art of murder and deception; her character had everything to stay until the end of the series to show us her evolution from a professional killer to a woman who loves the people around her and does her best to keep them alive. His death and just heartbreaking and I still hurt when I think about it, it almost feels like wanting to change the scene, what would have happened if Chelsea had followed Lubbock instead of going alone or if Kurome didn't have those drug cookies anymore or if Chelsea cut off her head when she was lying on the floor… Chelsea didn't miss! she managed to kill Bols and Kurome but she hadn't expected that this behind was drugged. She was overtaken by her consequences and unlike all the other members who died with at least someone next to them (except Leone), Chelsea and died surrounded by enemies. She did all this to be cheered on her return, to be congratulated! For Tatsumi to see how awesome she is and it makes me very sad to know how she ended up with Esdeath and Syriu who dared to do it next and just inhuman, she didn't deserve that… She let her imprint in the anime, in the Night Raid and in our hearts, she advanced Tatsumi and the rest of the members in her own way, her death turns the page on the anime and establishes a bloodier atmosphere. And I can't help but tell myself that she didn't deserve this… Sayonara Chelsea! 🍭❤

Everyone cries about how Chelsea wouldn't had to die, but honestly, the main reason Kurome weren't a menace after that was her attempt to kill her, so she did right, and Kurome won because Chelsea couldn't fight back. But honestly, it was more like she was created to be loved by the fans, and die to be cried by them. I mean, this anime was in, i don't know, middle age? And yet she was with that headphones, the hairpin and that outfit, how could we don't like her? And then her head became a cruel joke along with Mami Tomoe.

Another reason why Chelsea died was because she was a stealth assassin with an imperial arms only for sneaking.She was not good for fighting but she was good at manipulating people.

Chelsea did deserve death, but perhaps not with this much brutality. Taking advantage of Bols' kindness as a person and killing him without him being able to say a word about it and going on ahead and attempting to complete a very dangerous "mission" on her own without backup pretty much got her in that mess. Clearly, I can't blame her death. Yet, how she died was admittedly brutal and perhaps a bit too much. Defenceless, injured, alone and being hunted down while attempting to grasp what little hope there is of survival to later be dismembered, shot, decapitated, have their head propped up onto a pole in the middle of a town as a possible "message" for all to see, have their body dissected for, in the end, nothing and their remains fed to a beast goes a long way. At least there wasn't any interrogation or torture session that could have been added to the list of brutality. Fortunately, her suffering was short and she was able to at least die in a pleasant field of flowers. She also did accomplish her "mission", but plot armour got in the way and how could a character, unconscious of the fact that their target is supposed to live longer than they simply because the story says so, expect and prepare for that?

Все таки как сильно трагедия трогает душу, ведь я на 100 процентов уверен, что если бы она не умерла она бы не так сильно мне засела бы в душу. Все таки пусть приём убийства героя это очень интересный приём, однако насколько глубоко он раскрывает трагедию всей ее жизни положенной на созидание лучшего, пусть и путем убийства. Chelsea did deserve death, but perhaps not with this much brutality. Taking advantage of Bols' kindness as a person and killing him without him being able to say a word about it and going on ahead and attempting to complete a very dangerous "mission" on her own without backup pretty much got her in that mess. Clearly, I can't blame her death.
Yet, how she died was admittedly brutal and perhaps a bit too much. Defenceless, injured, alone and being hunted down while attempting to grasp what little hope there is of survival to later be dismembered, shot, decapitated, have their head propped up onto a pole in the middle of a town as a possible "message" for all to see, have their body dissected for, in the end, nothing and their remains fed to a beast goes a long way. At least there wasn't any interrogation or torture session that could have been added to the list of brutality.
Fortunately, her suffering was short and she was able to at least die in a pleasant field of flowers. She also did accomplish her "mission", but plot armour got in the way and how could a character, unconscious of the fact that their target is supposed to live longer than they simply because the story says so, expect and prepare for that?

@@jeffvercertti я через силу досмотрел аниме, ведь после её смерти я выпал полностью. Она для меня очень сильно стала важным персонажем. Все таки как сильно трагедия трогает душу, ведь я на 100 процентов уверен, что если бы она не умерла она бы не так сильно мне засела бы в душу. Все таки пусть приём убийства героя это очень интересный приём, однако насколько глубоко он раскрывает трагедию всей ее жизни положенной на созидание лучшего, пусть и путем убийства. Спасибо автору, спасибо и ей самой. Ее первый в жизни просчёт, который оборвал всю ее жизнь в начале ее становления... Это трагически-прекрасно.
