Hey, Kyle! Just a suggestion since I saw that your proposed bathroom is outdoor; it'll look roomier with high ceilings. You may want to use those pebbles, big and small, for your flooring (cement and top it with pebbles) to give it a more natural look and then use wood (horizontal placement) for the wall, those large rain showers, or those manual water pump (poso) in the bathroom stalls tapos, hang some bright fire lamp chandelier in the middle of the room. Allow some 12-20" space between the ceiling and the wall and use those lattices and screen to prevent animals from crawling in, and it'll give you light during the day; no need to turn on the light, but you can also consider putting a ceiling fan in the toilet stalls so you won't feel much the humidity while on the throne. You'll feel like in the forest as well. Lastly, plant some jasmine or Sampaguita's or any fragrant flowering plants around the building. :-)

For me, with the 7,000+ islands we have in the Philippines, there is more to be discovered, with mountains, caves, forests, rare flora& fauna yet to be discovered. I hope he'll keep the sides as lookout lobby for guests to sit and hang out. Instead of bedrooms, guests will sleep on their hammocks. Ground floor will be Communal kitchen and bathroom. Kulas will have his tiny house beside the big house.

Kulas the roots of that tree will damage the pvc pipes as the tree grows and roots spread out. You will never know in the future usually big tree roots will find its way any where. Just an opinion and based upon observation of my friends big tree at the bsck of his home where the roots are spreading outwards.TY.
Check the video again. They are surrounding the pvc pipe with cement. Remember the shower floor is going to be higher up so the grade of the pipe is at least 1-2 degrees down for proper drainage flow. Kulas also mentioned he had engineering friends as advisors.
Speaking of Voting Kulas to be the Philippine Tourism ambassador, I think he is a good candidate for the position. Based from watching his videos, he is very qualified for the position. He knew more about Philippine history and places to visit compared to a lot of Filipinos. He had traveled from north to south, Sulu to Batanes and places in between. He is the only blogger that visited places never visited by anyone. During his recent interview with Howie Severino "GMA reporter" he expressed his regards about The Philippines, the people of different ethnicity background, food, culture, tradition and practices. Through Kulas lens, I was able to visit places I didn't know existed. Philippine Tourism Ambassador, he is the guy.

It won't be long that the place will be inundated with tourists and I hope that the local government this early must plan on how to protect it and set rules concerning trash, plastics etc., to protect the environment. The place must be developed to maximize its beauty- yet still protect it. Wow!The waves now are a lot better,higher and longer.Today is 15th of October. I will put this on my calendar to remember the best month for surfing in Higadan Creamsand Beach.
