I have a leaky air locker. It's an internal leak that causes the air pressure to come out of the diff breather, and if the car is on a bit of an angle, it decides to start pumping oil out too. Sound familiar? Then watch this video.
Part 1 of a 2 part video, as I'm currently waiting for parts, so enjoy sitting on the edge of your seat in excitement and anticipation.
My problem was a damaged copper pipe caused by poor fitment from whoever installed it. I've ordered my choice of repair which is a 1/8" compression union fitting.

The awesomeness of video editing making it look like a quick and easy job!
I learned so much. Except what an air locker is 🙂
Unfortunately what's in my head doesn't reflect in the videos very often 😅
It could have been avoided if the original installer took extra care in routing the line properly. I have done 100+ arb locker installs. 0 issue on my installs. In your case, I’d change the brass line and solder in a new one.
Correct. Entirely the fault of the installer, but this was unfortunately before I got the car.
very interesting! good video ! 🛻📹😎🤙
nice diag mab....maybe you should work for arb
Bloody air leakers hey , hmmm i feel like potatoes tonight 🤔
Still looking for the hoist in my basic tool kit!!
What's the story with the rear leaf spring shackles - they look like they have round bar going up to the body...or are my eyes making stuff up - at 6:53?
Part 2...
Your eyes are making stuff up. They're drop/revolver shackles. 80% gimmick but they let it drop this far
@@ridiculousthings4x4 thanks!
Where do I place potatoes in the housing?
You know the saying. Every hole's a goal.
Do you a video on installing that lovely Touratech suspension?
You'll have to wait till the next bike episode for that
I liked the video, but out of the subject: how do you like the parabolic springs now? I saw your installation video but I couldn't find one about your thoughts. Are they worth it? Is it ok to remove the overload leaf for under-GVM applications?
Hopefully this gives you closure

My mum couldn't do that. So not literally everybody. Just saying.
How's the bike trip planning going?
Neither could mine. As of today, all I'm struggling with is transportation from Perth to Africa. Bike is complete and ready to go, but that's enough spoilers. Next episode incoming.
Install error, would be a warranty if it’s under 5 years old and was installed by ARB
Yeup, completely right. Hard to prove anything though as it's before my ownership. Getting anyone to admit past mistakes is like getting water from a teenage boys special sock.
M first
Potatoes are particularly useless, especially for presidential duties.
I've never heard of a president who wasn't a potato
