First time visit to Tirpentwys Trails - Pontypool

- Firstly, why did it take us so long to get here, it's incredible.
There's tech, there's jumps, there's bigger jumps and there's DH style crazy ass runs down the hill!
The vibe here is so ace too, people digging, building, riding, chilling and just generally wicked
Parked up and headed up the hill. which isn't a crazy ride although we didn't do it many times. We did also push up through the trees and this was really tough, put some good load through the shoulder but wow it was tough for me. The others seemed okay with it. I'm not sure which way we'll go next time :D
cruised down the red to start and then got playing on the jumps.
The jumps are more technical than I'm used to so I'd find myself getting it one time and then fluffing it up the next but always enjoying them.
I also most had an off on Bob more Gnarly, just not getting the drops quite right, the next run Oliver crashed a bit later in what is possibly the longest slowest crash ever ;)
All in all a fun time time for sure, defo worth going obvs free to go so maybe consider a little donation for the crew there at gofund.me/527e... - just helped my conscience as they were digging while I was riding

yeah, it's something that really messes with my head. doing it with some good buddies helps (a bit)
Hidden little gem that place. You'd have liked some of the tech trails too. Mik Cagiva is further down the top fireroad on the left next time you go.
oh we did do that but I ran out of battery, that is great and then suddenly you get that rocky bit into the fire road which caused my heart to quicken slightly. Not sure I can brave doing it again knowing it's there 😬
