If there were people like her in every facet of life, I would've known how to budget my finances, fix my own car, figure out calculus AND know how to do my hair. It is refreshing watching someone who not only knows their stuff, but also knows how to inform you and not be condescending. This was brilliant!!!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I know I became an instant subbie running into her un purposely
I can help you with [the] Calculus ... ➕❌➖➗ ...😃
Facts!!
I mean yes… but as someone who does all this it’s still hard for pimp 😭 cuz it’s ghetto outside
YES!!!! A stylist teaching us how to grow, attain and maintain healthy hair 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
Hello Ms. Knowledgeable! In 4 minutes and 8 seconds you have given a lifetime of information. Thank you 🙏🏾 😊❤.
Yes!!!
Exactly! I was like ohhhhh! Completely engaging & knowledgeable
Sis, thank you for gracing the internet with your presence! It goes without saying, the level of professionalism you have while still being extremely personable is amazing. However, it’s the simplicity in which you explained everything that did it for me. Basically had years of videos, articles, and blogs given to me in less than 5 minutes, is it an issue of protein or moisture? Now I feel I should go reclaim my time from these other posts. 😂
I so appreciate the fact thatvshes literally teaching and not just getting clients in and out...bravo!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I appreciate that!
Why was I NOT subscribed to this teacher of healthy hair?.... Fixed!
I second that

Thank you for teaching and caring. We need more women like you.

@@FlourishCurls_Salon I am new to the channel. Where are you guys located?
Where's this salon located? I like how she understands and works with the clients hair issues to get the hair healthy again.
I just discovered this channel today and I'm in love already. ❤ I will be binge watching all your videos. Thanks 🎉
@@nicbow1991 lol no problem I hope you learn something useful!!
Love that you are teaching us, and I love the fact that you were concerned about her doing her own hair when she gets home love this❤
Love the teaching! Protein and moisture!
So glad!
Loved your explanation and honesty.
Thank you for your videos and teaching it really helps and encourages healthy hair.
❤️❤️
You were very informative and direct I wished I could find a stylist with your expertise.
OHMYWOW!!!! All the info I need in one short vid. Gurl you amazing 😮
Thank you...Thank you for this Tutorial on Natural hair.... Learn So much about my 4C hair...GOD bless you 😊
The title of the video drew me in. Listening to her explanation kept me watching! I would love to have a hair technician as knowledgeable and caring as this one is. She knows her stuff and has a one year plan for execution!
I just looked up the salon to see how likely it would be to have her as my own hair tech! Dang it, they gotta move!
Yes I have this issue ! Nothing last on my hair this is why I wear braids all the time..
I had to subscribe immediately ❤❤❤ excellent teacher!
Thank you for this! Just cut off all my hair and left with a twa so I can start over the right way ❤
Where have you been all my life. My teen son does not trust me with knowing what to do with his hair. He now will watch every single video you have. Thank you for all you do with keeping us informed on our precious crowns.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
That's why I cut mine off a little at a time; after each wash day, instead of doing a hugh chop at once. It did take about a year to get rid of the last of the color. Now I can do wash 'n gos and AMAZING twist-outs. Now hair growth has excelled as well! The Stylist is 💯% correct!!
Great info, I wish all would do that for OUR people ❤❤❤❤
What a very informative video! I learned a lot watching your video.
I remember seeing a clip of this on my explore page on IG, and was so mad I lost it! Glad to see it on TH-cam
AWESOME teaching!! God bless U! 🙏🏾🌻
Clearest explanation ever! Wish you were near me!
Thank you!!
I have 2 types of hair patterns in my hair the back is tight curls and the front is loose curls and I’ve been natural of over 10 years and I didn’t need to do the big chop! I literally trimmed it every few months in the beginning until my perm was gone! I say all this to say you don’t have to go and cut all your hair off and stick to a hair routine that works for you 💯
I agree!
I had a whole thick head of dyed hair and it would continously tangle and mat. I drove to hair school one day and told them just cut it off. This was the best decision I ever made. My hair is so thick and flourishing now. I'm a young silver fox and everyone loves curl pattern and my silver color.
You know your stuff dearest!! Rhonda Prater from. California!!!
I'm definiygoing to get my hair cut now that you explained why it's necessary. Thank you.
Excuse you missy. You sound like you know what u doing👏🏾👏🏾
Her hair is beautiful
OMG who is this WOMAN?!!! I knew IMMEDIATELY she knew EXACTL wth she was talking about! Amazing
Loved this❤
I LOVE your demo of your REAL, unapologetically *UNwytewashed KNOWLEDGE* of Our Natural hair.
I haven't seen this level of ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE being shared about it BY SOMEONE WHO *DOESN'T* HAVE mixed-heritage hair, since FeliciaLeatherwood stopped doing utube videos!!
This was REFRESHING AF to come across!! May your success (continue to) SKYROCKET!
Thank you!!!
She is very knowledgeable and she can sell anything I wanted to buy whatever she was selling. But she was just giving out facts 😮
How were you just preaching that?!!! I gotta subscribe. U hooked me on 1 short video
She is absolutely right I got heat damage after a Dominican blow out I trimmed every three months a few inches did hard protein and moisturize rotation my hair is back and better I can not rock with damaged hair
Fabulous!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you for this information!! I didn’t realize pulling the hair back a lot can create an elasticity issue. Does it help if you only do a very low tension styling on the front of the hair, i.e., bobby pins or clips loosely for the top vs. elastic bands?
I will travel for an appointment 💯
What protein regimen would you recommend? Thanks.
Where are you at gurl cuz you know yo shit!!!?!!??!!
This maybe a silly question but so these rules apply to locs too?
WHY RU NOT IN CHICAGO?!
love her
So what if she doesn’t want the grey virgin hair? Coloring is considered chemically treated right?
Couldn't she have 2 types of hair? My hair texture in the back is totally different from the front. Does the different texture have anything to do with the elasticity?
It can yes!
Definitely helped and make sense 💜
Greetings, 👋🏿 I didn’t color my hair & I did a fade years ago.. so my hair may be considered virgin no relaxer whatsoever but I do have to manipulate the get that tight curl pattern in wash n go. Can you help?
Anybody know where she’s located?
Wish you were in Chicago 😢.
Girl you better preach!
I learned so much in this video!!! Protein and hydration! Got ya! 🫡
Good lesson
my hair is a bit like that but it's not elasticity...my hair texture is that loose in front. always has been what now🤥
Is there anything I can do about this gray hair popping out of my hairline? It's so wirey - it just zigzags in its own pattern and every one of them does something different! The gray hair won't curl or straighten! Can a woman with all gray hair even achieve a good looking wash and go?
You are awesome!!!! Just subbed 😊
Thank you!!
Excellent
But what's not addressed is that many people have multiple hair textures.
Where are you located?
Love Flourish so much their the BEST
Thank you girl!!!
After listening for 2 minutes I was convinced this hair technician knew what she was doing. I have never heard anyone explain what they can do to achieve healthy hair better than her. Brava!
Thank you!!
I love the way you broke this info down. I’ve never had anyone give me a consultation about my hair. I really, really appreciate this video!
God bless you.
Charismatic, knowledgeable and Properly Dressed!

Who else subscribed before the 2-minute mark? 😂 I found my new hair guru. Hallelujah.

I subscribed when I saw the 48-second short!
You got me with the extra curricular activity. That was funny😂😂😂
😆😆
😅😅
thats when I was ALL in cuz why they be manipulating the hair like that?! Like sweetie, yo hair dont wanna do it, stop forcing it!
Best hair consultation video ever!
Some people have different textures in one head of hair. Like myself. The nape of my hair is has a loose “S” wave pattern, the crown has a tight “S” wave pattern and the front has no curl pattern just straight and frizzy and this is not due to heat or color damage.
My father’s head of hair is the same, therefore it’s hereditary ☺️
That is me my back is tighter than my front. My hair only gets heat 1 every 1-2 months and that is blow dry on medium heat
98% of people have different textures throughout their head, it's completely normal to have that. However, some people have intensely changed their texture due to different actions they've taken with their hair. This woman in particular was coloring for years and pulling her hair in low buns and its stretched out a texture that was already loose to begin with. This video is only speaking to that group of people who may be in the same boat as to why those textures are significantly different
Guess we’re related 😂. I have the exact same 3 patterns in the exact same places and I got it from our grandma. Lolol. Like you I saw these 3 patterns from the get go of the big chop and it has grown out to about 8 inches in that very same way.
Lmao my nape is this weird wavy frizzy texture. throughout the crown and top are tight s curls But the sides are like o shaped.
So what is a good protein regimen?
I love her honesty and straight facts. With my natural hair I have been through so many obstacles from following new fads like clove water rinses/leave in s,to leaving in protein too long, then covid and losing loads of hair. And only now 2 years later something she said made so much sense. I would shed short pieces of hair every single day and no matter what I did I could not control it. I finally went in and had a big chop done which helps some, but I still continue to shed hair and my hair almost seemed like a Brillo pad and I became so flustered and frustrated. As a last resort I did end up changing my shower head and adding a filtration system and that seems to have worked wonders. But listening to these tips have made such a huge difference and now I know what my hair needs and I'm so grateful. Wish I was close to you because I would definitely come to see you. Thank you for being so informative and keeping it real!
Yes!!!! I love that!!
The water! Few people are acknowledging that.
Bonjour est que vous pouvez me résumer ce qu'elle a dit je ne comprends pas anglais.
" A product will only enhance what you already have " - THIS🙌🏾 And so much more gems were dropped in this video. I can definitely tell you're a great hair stylist who really cares abt teaching her clients the correct way to nuture our hair. And HONEST! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾
Absolutely!!

So I watched the whole video and thinking you were going to do her hair and not just hold it 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏿♀️😅
This was a hands on class not a hair appt
@@FlourishCurls_Salon My beautician is just like you. I've been getting mine cut off each time I go. I can see the difference with the relaxer almost gone & my issue was a vitamin deficiency too. Thank you!
😂
She is so correct I went natural during the pandemic and had some color left over in my hair. Since the salons were closed I cut my hair and then when to the salon to get a big chop. That helped some but I had protein and hydration issues (also because I didn’t understand what was going on). Once I got it all in balance with my curly gray hair it’s finally hydrated and protein balance is on point but 😅 it took a lot of patience and not giving up….so please don’t give up it will happen. I get a lot of compliments and my hair is easier to style and I don’t use as many products to style. BE PATIENT
much success to all who are going on this journey 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏾
Being patient and not giving up!!!
This is why I appreciate (hair care professionals) not just stylist!
Let's talk about, the wonders of rosemary. I'm natural and rosemary, keeps my hair, nearly invincible...
Would you mind sharing your rosemary routine?
I.e. Oil alone and/or spray; ingredients and frequency of each, leave in vs wash out, et al.
(Anything else you'd like to share, in as much or as little detail as you'd prefer.) 🤓💚😇
@@BL3SSed-Bliss Yeah, sure! I boil a few rosemary leaf strands, along with cloves, and let it sit over night, in the pot. Then I extract the strained water, into a spray bottle and massage my scalp with it. Of course, you want to have, another moisturizer, like shea butter, to keep your hair from drying out. The rosemary and clove water, is an extra addition. It naturally, prevents my hair, from falling out. After months, of leaving my hair, in a protective style, on wash day, barely any hair is lost...
@@BL3SSed-BlissI don't know this person's regimen, but I used mielle rosemary mint product line (shampoo/deep conditioner) and noticed fuller hair. I do believe rosemary is beneficial for hair growth. I am transitioning away from Mielle because the ingredients have changed.
She is like my hair dresser of more than 30 years. She focuses on the health of the clients hair as well as educates her on what should be done with her hair.
Thanks for sharing and keeping it real.
Healthy hair is the key .
I don't know why I felt like I was watching a sermon at a GOOD church!!! LOL I was so interested in this teaching! Thanks for sharing!! 💗💗
This lady knows exactly whats shes talking about. Thank you for the educational information ma'am!
Love an expert who is enthusiastic about their craft because we get clear, precise and simple information that we can follow. Thank you ✌🏾❤️🇬🇧
So how this just popped in my feed, but her personality was so sweet and intriguing. I subscribed just because❤️
Thank you!!!
I feel the same way. Where was this when I needed someone to explain exactly what she said?
I totally agree, but its bittersweet because it may be impossible for me to go 2 her shop, unless shes close to SC @tralb45
Me too!!!!!
Hi there😊 You're speaking the truth! I've been natural most of my life (50+yrs) I know exactly what's important for healthy hair. Wash, condition style. Not going to preach!!! My hair is my glory and I'm going to take care of it.
😮 Omg it's as if you were talking directly to me. My exact issues. Subscribed because at 61 I have hydration and protein issues and the the front is straight
Again, I love when we have educated individuals in this field and on subject. . Thank pls continue. 😊
She’s good she knows her craft well❤
It's undeniable, YOU are a GIFTED Teacher. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I’d like to ask for the exception of some of us. I’ve got multiple curl patterns on my head…I cut most of my front hair for 2yrs in 2018-2020 thinking that my hair was damaged. I have spring on my back side and the front is loose curl. I’m a natural and do my protein and moisturizer well… my hair is growing fast but I had to settle that I’ve got about four different hair strands on my head. I’m from Eastern Africa and most of us do have that genetics and are high porosity too….
Most people do have different textures on their head. Just sometimes when that happens to an extreme there is a reason like in her case!
She explains all magnificently 😅
You don’t have to cut your hair off. Get a good trim and then do the same treatment.
it does not mean the elasticity in the front has been compromised. it could simply be she has a different texture in the front.
That is true but hers has been compromised
I like how you tell exactly what to do and when you said it’s the hair not the product! I have so much stuff and I honestly thought it was the product! Thank you
Yes!! Products are made to be used on hair that is balanced with moisture and protein. If the hair isnt in that state, the product just wont work correctly.
*Yes..Chemical, Heat, and Styling damage.*
I love this type of video. It reminds me that I had to learn what was best for my hair. Up until lately society only has shown us how to straighten it. It takes a community, thank you curl friends and the natural hair community for all that you have taught me
Glad it was helpful❤️
That’s what I did. I did my hair until it was gone. I started my hair journey with severe salon-induced heat damage.
“Fighting” your hair is what causes us to be unable to retain length.
I literally subscribed off the finger twirling, scruching, and hair pulling demonstration alone, it was hilarious 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆🤣😆😆🤣
😆😆🤭
I love how she gave options for women who don't want to cut the entire hair off.
No need to cut all the hair. That's I switched to Ayurvedic products for my natural hair 🤗. All she need is some Amla! Amla! It shall add elasticity, strength, curl definition, growth and turn grey back to black 🖤!! Been using it for 3yrs. Everybody loves❤my hair and is always asking what do I use.
Agree!
About once or twice a month , I combine shikakai, brahmi and aritha
I use MSM daily and Amla oil
And its all so cheap at my local Indian grocery store
My hair is so healthy and black
I think natural hair works best with natural products + water + leave it alone
Lol
@@anjalE30 I agree!! I love, amla!! Love my, ayurvedic herbs. And, yes, your hair loves to be, LEFT ALONE...Preach!
