They are just averages at the end of the day and statistics mean nothing at the individual level. It’s like saying the average height for men in America is 5’9 but when you go out in the real world, men come in all sorts of heights ranging from shorter or taller exceeding the average height range.

Same here. I hit puberty around aged 15 and at that time I was 5ft 5½. At 16 I was around 5ft 10 and then at 17 I got to 5ft 11½. Now that I'm 18 nearly 19 I'm at 6ft ½ and I can promise you that I too am still slightly growing.

Don't listen to guys who have no idea what they are on about. If your growth plates are closed in your wrists. That just means your hands wont grow anymore. You still have your spinal growth plates and growth plates in your legs. They don't all close at the same time.

People really need to read things carefully online and also lookout for keywords like unlikely and most when it comes to when the body stops growing this doesn't mean all. In general, most adults are done growing but there will be exceptions for some people that get taller as an adult.

I no this isn’t much but at 16 I was about 5.6 and 3/4 and now I’m 5.7 and 3/4 and this didn’t happen that long ago less then 6 months and I’m turning 20 this year not sure I will grow any more but it was a bit random to grow an inch
