      +Adrian Dmoch Hey Adrian, My husband and I are doing this hike soon (in a week :-)) also with no guides. I'm wondering how you found the glacier crossings? Were they difficult to navigate? I've read stories of people feeling the glaciers shift and others who recommend a guide, but then there are stories like yours where no guide is needed. Thanks :-) Marcelina

    • @AdrianDmoch
      @AdrianDmoch  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Mila's Dance Party Hi Marcelina, crossing the khumbu glacier was a bit hard to navigate. You just have to focus for about an hour and looking for a small pile of strones which are trail markrers. In our movie in 4:42 you can see how look a middle of the khumbu glacier. HAVE FUN!;]

    Nice video. I have a few questions if you dont mind. Are you guys frequent hikers? Is the three passes route very hard for a man in good shape but not a hiker? Which one of the three passes is the hardest one and whic one the easyest? From where you have bought your tickets to Lukla and the TIMS cards and permits? How cold can get in October up there on the passes and around base camps? Why people are doing the three passes route counter clockwise and not clockwise so that you let EBC towards the end? Have you had rain gear? Does it rain in October? Thanks!

    • @AdrianDmoch
      @AdrianDmoch  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      its easy to navigate there, and it's more fun to do it by yourself;] and there is no problem with accommodations, there is a lot of lodges and for sure u will find a place to sleep and eat, i dont remember how much time i took me to plan this, but i think taht somethin about a month, have fun!

      My cousin and I are looking at having a go at it the traditional route...backpacking from Jiri all the way up to Lukla then onward without guides or porters. I am sure we will end up taking multiple side-trips like you guys did. My biggest question during the planning is, aside from the Everest base trail where tea houses are plentiful, did you have any problem finding food and lodging on your side trips off the beaten path? I would rather not carry shelter if not necessary. BTW...the video is amazing, you've given me inspiration ;)

    • @AdrianDmoch
      @AdrianDmoch  8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have planned to go to Nepal for 3 months in 2018, my focus is also on kinda the same trip you did in the everst area, (+ a bit other stuff) just a bit more relaxed.
    I also want to do it alone without a guide, but I got 2 things:
    1. At the most parts of the trek looks like you can't recognize a Real way? So how difficult is it to not get lost?
    2. And what do you recommend to use as main navigation?

    Hi man!
    How was the navigation and finding the trail? Challenging or quite easy?
    Im going there soon and want to know, since im not going to have guide.
    Do you have any advice?
    Thank!

    Thoroughly enjoyed your video and loved it... Is it possible for you to provide a complete map of this route since I'm planning to do it solo...
    The map you provide at the end of the video is good but I would appreciate if you can provide some detailed route map.

      no problem. I could figure out the route from Google maps however I'm facing difficulty in finding the Lhotse base camp and some of the passed you mentioned. How did you find the route for those passes?

      @AdrianDmoch  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it was a bit hard with the kongmala pass at the begining, rest are simple. just ask locals;]

    Swietny film! Jestem pod wrazeniem! Ta trasa to moje marzenie, lece do Katmandu za pare dni, ale niestety nie starczy czasu zeby dosc az do Base Camp. Calosc planuje przejsc w maju, a teraz bede miała max tydzien na wyruszenie z Lukli i powrot. Dokad mniej wiecej uda mi sie dojsc? Jak z temperaturami na wysokosciach okolo 4000m?
