Ceramic coating is ideal for countries with heavy rainfall or snow..Countries like India and especially in context of Delhi/ncr where most of the people park their vehicles in open, ceramic is no good ( considering such heavy prices) for long run. This coating can resist water but not dust which is the major contribution of our cars getting dirty daily..I would not advise this to anyone who has to park his vehicle in open daily....alternative get a ceramic spray n use it once a month.

it’s so irritating
I do car detailing on a small scale and i would like to point some things here,
1. Firstly respect for the amount of knowledge this person has and his willingness to share the same for free, educating the customer before selling a product is most one can do.
2. Coming to process step by step. Firstly we would be doing a rinsing of vehicle with water then tar remover then water again, this removes any tar, brake dust or dirt. This is essential step in case vehicle is old. (wash car before this if car is dirty)
3. then we would do a pressure foam wash to thoroughly clean the surface of the vehicle. We should use ph neutral dedicated car shampoos so we don't do any damage to the paint surface. DONOT use detergent or hair shampoo to do the same. They are very alkaline in nature and potentially damage the clear coat.
4. After cleaning we inspect the car to see any damage or dents or scratches so we can inform the customer about the same (usually customers tend to say its detailer's fault because they didn't have it before we touched the car). Car detailing is done on the top most layer of paint surface namely the clear coat so if there are places with paint scratches etc we don't work on that part.
5. Then comes the claying part, we would preferably use clay mitt instead of clay bar since one it is expensive af and second its use and throw. (one clay bar can cost upto 200 rs each, one the reasons why its expensive). Claying removes any sort of dirt residue that is still left on the paint be it on the surface or embedded within the scratches.
6. Next we need to prep the surface before we start the paint correction step. We would recommend an IPA solution for this since its readily available and cheap.
7. Then comes the actual paint correction step where we use compounds which are basically liquid abrasives that cut down the clear coat layer of paint. making it smooth so it brings a shine to it. On new cars we will only and only use polish and correct compounds that have the finest of abrasives since the condition of paint is usually pristine.
8. Work in small portions frame to frame and donot over do the point 7, as detailers we need to keep in mind the future life of vehicle and take necessary steps to bring best out of value rather than blindly rub the hell out of paint (usually done in local mechanic shops).
9. Then we clean the car again, dry it with blowers or microfiber cloths. And finally we are at step seal and finish.
10. What i didn't like the most about the video was exactly this step. What they used was not Ceramic coating but a sealant. (research if you want to know the difference). Pure ceramic or graphene ceramic coatings come in glass bottles of 50 mls each. The product used in video was a sealant and not what the title says.
Secondly sealants have lab condition test life of 1 year so 3-4-5 what ever years sir said is not real. It can go upto 3 years but that needs application of multiple layers......not like done in video but it takes 24 hours for one layer to cure so applying anything before that doesnt count as layers.
lastly responding to "loot rhe hai" part, its a process that is more complicated than my comment and involves tons of hidden costs that is not visible to naked eye.
Typically a lot of factors are involved in these areas but for this job on a new vehicle cost of approx 3600-4000 is good bargain. 5000 is premium price but it comes with hiring someone with extensive experience in this area.
Also ceramic is not a one time solution, especially in India's weather condition. Regular maintenance is essential. So educate yourself and decide what your car needs. Sealants are like trial version of ceramic coatings. Last upto 3-6 months (depending on maintenance) and gives you and idea on what to expect.
Also if I am not wrong they are doing this process in an open environment of a basement parking of mall.

I appreciate the fact that the shop’s owner was willing to explain the steps with patience.
However the finishing with the dual action polisher was really not well done. Angular polishing instead of full contact with no pressure mostly yield no results and is a waste of time. That’s not how you use a DA. You don’t spread the polish cream on the body like that but rather on the pad with or without a prep.
The hydrophobic effect can be achieved with a sealant alone without polishing or compounding or ceramic coating.

when you are buffing and polishing the surface then what is the use of CLAY to clean the paint
The clay will take away all impurities stuck with the paint. It will also smoothen the surface prior to compounding and finishing.
Also a décontamination with an iron remover should be done. I haven’t seen but they might have done it.
