I was lucky enough to meet The Stan Laurel mimic in New Mexico..last year.. Mr.Jeffrey Weissman. Mr.Weissman(appears in this BBC TV documentary as Stan)in the intersentials.
Sort of. Film companies used to use orthochromatic film, which is not sensitive to certain wavelengths of light, so his light blue eyes didn't register very well, and sometimes made him appear "blind," which killed the comedy. Panchromatic film, which is a type of black-and-white photographic film that is sensitive to all wavelengths of visible light, was eventually brought into use in the film industry, and that solved the problem. No lead was used in Laurel's actual eyes!
The documentary that is included in the TCM DVD set of Laurel and Hardy's sound shorts features Jerry Lewis relaying a totally fictional "story" of how they got teamed up.
Perhaps. Joey's (and for at least 6 seasons, Chandler's) apartment had a blown-up photo of a still from one of Laurel and Hardy's films, so I'm thinking both Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry were inspired by Stan and Oliver in their approach to the friendship between Mr. Tribbiani and Mr. Bing.
How do you supposed they did that? Injected it into this irises? Really? Trust me, it had nothing to do with the cameras, it was all about the FILM, i.e. Panchromatic (sensitive to all wavelengths) vs. orthochromatic (sensitive to a limited amount of wavelengths).
A Lucky Dog was filmed in January 1921 and released on October 10th 1921. It was Florence Gilbert's 10th film after she started in the movies in 1920. Jess Robbins made no films between 1914 and 1918 and a car in the movie has 1920 number plates. Stan only made one film (his first) in 1917 - Nuts In May.
horace - correct. Anderson was managing the Longacre Theater in New York between 1914 and 1920, when he made a brief return to films. www.judgefoozlesforum.com/showthread.php?tid=376&pid=2090#pid2090

Pretty sure it is, yes.
Joey on Friends reminds me of Stan Laurel. I wonder if he did that on purpose.

It would be good training for a beggining comedian to do silent comedy. Be funny without any words.

Could somebody please tell me what is the name of that film @6:12-6:52?
The movie @ 6.12 etc is Be Big (1931).
3:44. Nice spelling of Hardy's name there.

לא הבית הנכון "?"...השחקן היה בתוך הבית לפני שהם שברו את הדלת

Darn I just want to see their work without the BBC voice over.
The year regarding "Lucky Dog" is NOT 1921,it`s 1917.
