I do both tips and sculpted acrylic using “glam and glitz” and “Kiara Sky” and I change £35-£40 depending on how much natural nails prep is needed and what design my client would like. Keeping your desk clean and using fresh towels and roll before each client is a MUST! I always disinfect all my tools before and after use, in front of my client! after every client! As as for the e-file or nail drill, I use one from the way she was using it and holding she didn’t look trained in it (let alone the whole service) hence why she cut your finger. Girl please don’t let foreign nail techs put you off! Not all nail techs that use the same techniques are bad! Just make sure who your going to is fully trained and can prove they are fully trained!

I have dual citizenship, UK and US, but have lived in the US for quite some time so I don't know how much an acrylic set usually costs in the UK (you might say but im not that far yet lol). Anyways, here in NH as well as FL(I've lived and had nails done in both), $25 seems to be the standard at the regular nail places for that same set 🤦♀️ And yeah, the one towel thing... Eeek! Okay going to finish the video now lol

They look like they’ve used dental acrylic on them. If she was wearing a mask it’s an indication they are using dental, which is illegal in a lot of countries 🤦🏽♀️.. It’s not actually cheaper for us to use tips, a box of professional tips is more than foils to sculpt. And it’s normally easier to sculpt as you’ve less filling and forming to do if it’s all one “nail” as such. Roared when she couldn’t even stick tips on correctly though 🤦🏽♀️ that pinky finger 😳😂
Some people do were masks because you can have the option to wear them as working with that type of fumes can cause respiratory problems in the future. I learned this because I'm studying level 2 hairdressing and I was told that both hair stylists and nail stylists have the option to wear a mask when working with Chemicals just like you also have the choice to wear gloves or goggles 🙂
You may have the choice but most of us don’t wear them as our chemicals aren’t that strong it chokes you. The yellowing of the nail indicates dental acrylic, and 100% if you struggle with fumes or have any health issues wear masks. But most hairdressers and nail technicians I’ve worked with or even trained with never had to nor wanted to wear masks.. Good luck with your hairdressing 😌

I suffer with chronic migrianes and some fumes can trigger them so I always have to make sure I'm in a well ventilated room when working with any chemicals on myself or other people 🙂 thank you 😊
She means using a white tip for french nails is easy, and I agree. I sculpt & use tips and they're both equally hard work, but sticking on a white tip & going over top with clear acrylic is easy AF and doesn't compare to a reverse smileline and white acrylic at all. You can do the reverse smile line technique with forms or tips which both take the same amount of work. Using a white tip and clear acrylic over the top is not difficult at all.
I used to get the white tips as well and what I found out is hair spray, body spray , pretty much any hair products can turns them brown and or really cheap acrylic.
