Depend what it’s shown in manga. They show in anime how they met with luffy, how he was a prince and run away, how the revolutionary found him, the training, how he felt when knew about ace diying and pretty much that’s it
Honestly the part where Sanji wanted to buy the girl from the Sabaody arc seemed to me like he wanted to save her that way. Not buy her for other purposes. Even though Nami hit´s him, I interpreted that as her simply doing that because the money wouldn´t be enough after that to also free Camie (which wasn´t enough at all anyways). Sabo´s backstory is in the manga. Even Dragon saving him is shown on the page. The anime simply extended details during Dressrose that were cut in the manga for time. Loguetown and Wano equally feature canon material the manga zoomed past. None of it is anything one must see but still good to know.

Mr 3 actually did do something brutal to the giant in little garden. Instead of swords, Mr 3 drove giant spikes into his hands due to the giant being able to free himself.
I think that statement of him is taken out of context. Sanji's character, when serious he does plan ahead and goes solo sometimes. So him saying if he can use money to purchase Cami or the others is also a way of freeing them. Not implying he wants slaves. He's just being realistic and playing along with the situation and not create havoc intentionally.
In regards to the anime little garden segment about the shackles. Eventually he DOES put massive wax stakes through his hands and potentially feet but we see the actual scene happening off scene iirc. Good work though! I didn't know a number of these so its fun to learn more about the series adaptive changes!
In the anime Nojiko didn't step in and take the bullet, she was trying to stop Nami attacking and was shot on accidentally when they were aiming for Nami. lol
yeah, i watched the clip as he tried to say nojiko was taking the bullet, and.. if you’re taking a bullet for someone, why stand facing them and holding them in front of you, instead of pushing them away? if i had to do that i’d be worried about the bullet going through me and into them too lol
Here's a fun, easy to miss fact. In the 4kids dub of One Piece during the fight between Luffy and Crocodile, there's a single frame that was never censored in the fight where Crocodile was covered in blood.
Honestly? Mayby it's better this way. Anime could not survive to this day if it would be too scary and gruesome in its early days. Plus despit One Piece still have plenty of things that were censored even further outside of Japan I think it's still pretty family friendly. Everyone who watched One Piece on Fox Kids (correct me if I got it wrong) remember infamous censorship that gave Sanji lolipop, Helmeppo weird hammer gun and lots and lots of other weird things to make it not only family friendly but especially kids friendly. So even if manga wasn't fully adapted in anime with all its scary, cruel and gruesome moments I think it's good as it is. In comparison to censored version for children from outside of Japan that is. I think I watched few episodes like that when I was child and when I watched again proper version I couldn't believe that they kicked out such cool openings in favor of some weird rap songs. Ugh, to this day I suffer when I remember (for example) weird french opening for DBZ after hearing proper one.
In all honesty with zeph, the anime makes more sense because cutting off your own leg and eating it is way less efficient colonically speaking than just letting it waste away.
Ace had the swastika symbol which literally translated to "well being" in sanskrit which Oda probably took the inspiration from but idk why the western fools connect that symbol to Hitler. Hitler's nazi symbol was different that our swastika symbol. I cant believe how much shit the asian creators have to censor just because few westerners' find it offending.
Because I've played enough monster hunter to have this fact cramed down my throat, the strawhats TECHNICALLY never met a dragon since grandpa Ryu would be considered a wyvern because he has 2 legs and wings instead of 4, although I can't really look past zoro magically forgetting to cut steel since he also did that in warship island
With Brogy and mr. 3 you need to watch little longer. Brogy freed him self for a moment and then he got something similar to manga. There are some dif but not as much. Zoro cut half way in anime and manga - only less blood was shown in anime. Almost no change here.
I prefer the original introduction of Luffy in the manga. It gets to the point immediately about his characteristics and aspiration as well as weaknesses. Although some prefer the mystery behind his power in the anime, I prefer that it was shown first in the manga, especially as it was shown to be gimmicky and useless at first, then after the time skips when Luffy finally set sail, we got to see his training bore fruit when he knocked out the Sea King. As for the Sanji scene at the auction, I guess that's too sensitive for some people, especially those that often jumps to conclusion too quickly. We all know deep down that no matter how perverted Sanji is, he uphold his codes regards towards women extremely strictly, to the point of dying for it. So there's no way he would make a joke of buying girls as a slave, but rather than to free her if he really could make the purchase.
The sad thing is that people really do mistake the Swastika for the "Hakenkreuz" despite the fact they are both completely different. Its like saying the upside down Christian Cross is the same as the normal standing one.
