- The Calgary Flames opened up their road trip with a bang, taking down the Boston Bruins 4-1 with goals from Connor Zary, Jonathan Huberdeau, Noah Hanifin and newest addition Andrei Kuzmenko.

As a Canucks Fan, I'm happy to see Kuz get a goal right away with his new team.

As a Canucks fan I really enjoyed Kuzmenco's funny antics, and was sad to see his personality leave the team. But I was also really happy to see he scored right away with his new team.
Great to see Kuzmenko score his first goal as a Flame on his debut game!
Arguably the best game if the season for Calgary says one of the commentators!

People always attribute his success in Florida to Barkov, but he played the most with Bennett, Duclair, and Tippet (at least 5 on 5). It's good to see at least this one game that Kuzmenko and him have good chemistry.
@sakalaathletics It also surprising how quickly huby and kuzmenko have chemistry in their first game but lindholm couldn't find any with huby for a season and a half

How amazing it is that both Kuzmenko and Lindholm, traded for one another, scored the first goals of their new teams in their first games (Lindholm scored two!), and on their first shots on goals for the first teams too! This must be the first for the NHL, someone research this, please!
Also notable, the last goal before this game for the Flames was from Lindholm, and the first goal of the game was from Kuzmenko.

Я надеялся что Кузи с Ванкувером чего-то добъются в этом сезоне,но видимо тренер Кэнакс решил по другому и я думаю он сильно ошибся.Умного тренера из тафгаев не бывает.Теперь Кузи будет радовать Калгари и было-бы неплохо увидеть крутую связку с Юбедо.

Its in there... seemed like his glove hit Marchand's face, who then twisted in a flop-spasm. Should've been a 2 min penalty but Brad whined so hard to the refs that they upped the call. In the end the right team won anyways, despite the reffing.

Anytime the Bruins are playing a canadian team in a tight game, they're almost guaranteed to get at least one 5-on-3. In the 30+ year Bettman era, I'll bet that no canadian team has EVER been awarded a 5-on-3 against an american team... unless they were already up by 3 goals or the outcome was otherwise a foregone conclusion. Meanwhile, seems like the Habs are on the wrong side of a 5-on-3 every other game. The furthest thing from being a 'dirty' team, and yet this season I've already seen them battle uphill against 7 penalty kills in a single game. So heart-warming to see that Bettman's bean-counters are at least putting in an effort and taking late-night calls.
I still have my Habs-ref shirt if you want to see it.(half Canadian half Ref). I've been Nhl fan 50 years.
