I love the idea of Elasticache serverless 37:00 but I am not excited about the current pricing. Even an empty serverless cache incurs a 1 GB/Hr cost. So an empty cache will cost $90/month. This is not serverless but rather a fixed $90/month before anything. I REALLY hope they fix this. 10 empty caches will cost you $900/month!
Brilliant work here. A comparable book I read was a cornerstone in my understanding. "AWS Unleashed: Mastering Amazon Web Services for Software Engineers" by Harrison Quill
the solution to aurora limitless and elasticash serverless sounds too good to be true, I should test it out IAM scientists doing amazing things. the clock solution is truly truly mind-blowing
As a Call of Duty player - peekers advantage is one of the most annoying and game breaking affects...its like hunting kangaroos - just spam the jump button and you the player who should be killed, escapes and kills the other player instead....Ii didn't think there was a solution to this, but seeing this and how Riot games levels the playing field using AWS is eye-opening and not what I expected to learn watching this. How cool.
Because you have a poor internet link 🤷♂ I am able to stream the 1080p version with out any issue. TH-cam checks latency and device so could just be saying you cant handle anything more than 360p.
all videos upon upload will only have 360p, and then after a while the higher resolution gets available. I believe that is how TH-cam optimize to give a video to the world first in a low resolution, and continue to process to make the HD available.
Big kudos to the AWS team, especially to Peter. I'm very impressed by his knowledge of the technical details of each of those tools.
Thank you for the shout-out.🎉 🙌
Awesome talk! Congrats to AWS teams behind these innovations always pushing the boundaries
Just WOW on the clock sync...one of the toughest problems to solve on distributed systems!
Glad this was posted here. I need to catch up! Thank you! 🙂
Awesome work by AWS. And Peter for presenting.
Couldn't agree more! 👏
The quantum computing section really helped newbies like me on this particular topic
Great presentation by Peter 👍Amazing tech!
Thank you! That's great to hear! 😀
This has been your best keynote, well done Peter. :)
Absolutely crazy innovation across so many fronts!
Amazing work!
Thank you! 🥳 🙌 🎉

I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment. 😔 We have forwarded your feedback to our internal teams for review. 📨 ^RS.
@@awssupport Thank you :) we really need a memory based serverless store for AI workloads.
Serverless elasticache! Stoked.

We did it, boys. We had Faker on the big screen at AWS.

That's AWsome to hear, Jair!
Check the pricing.
- If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is 🙂
You can see by his broad knowledge 25 good years working for AWS
8:03 have you heard about Oracle 😅

Quantum computer stuff was cool.
Speaking of time sync, this audio/video is off by 3/100 sec. :( Lol.
Why the video quality is only 360p?
They are being frugal with our Data 😅

Elastic Cache serverless is nice.
Anything open-source?
Damn you AWS, you ruined my peaker's advantage D:
It's cute he fails to say "shards" properly at the first try haha
NO FUCKING JOKE! I GOT THIS 1 HOUR VIDEO AS AN AD WTF!!!!!
