Can I just say, when Damon saw the teddy bear and knew she was alive... It just shows how unique and decent they were together. Damon obsessed and would immediately go from one extreme to another but Bamon was in their own world.

@@joliefille332 completely different. Little "spoiler" but Caroline's stayed bitch from first few episodes the whole series and is one of the minor characters. Elena's BFF are Bonnie (who's white redhead but the hair is just perfect for nicknames from Damon) and Maredith (Fell i think).
Only "problem" with the series if that past that one book that was Peek Bemon (maybe the next one too but I don't remember) author has some prow with publication and was replaced by ghostwriters. Fact I didn't know until like few months ago from yt comment lol. But original author took off and continues to write her own version. All the info I found on Fandom Wiki.
Lore is different (vamps have more powers like in 1st ep) and Salvatore's are way older and actually from Italy. And sadly only Original is Klaus and he's different from the show (but I don't remember exactly much of the plot to even explain). Anyway if you can separate book as something completely different you'll enjoy it I think

Bamon really could've been it if tvd had better writers who knew how to use their chemistry. It's like as soon as JP realised that Bamon was a thing she did all she could to stop it. She ruined their reciprocal dynamic and just made Bonnie Damon's ride or die w/o the benefits. So heartbreaking because their story could've been EPIC💔

I liked that they stayed best friends...it made the relationship more powerful...sure there was chemistry but it just showed to me that some loves remain pure
They are my otp. The writers may have sabotaged their endgame together, but the actors portrayed their feelings of how the characters really loved each other. The way they stared into each other's eyes, that breathtaking Bamon hug was Iconic, the endless tears she's cried over him, his jealousy of Kai and Enzo getting too close to her...etc. #Bamonwasrobbed!

the way people feel the need to emphasize that they’re only meant to be friends doesn’t sit right with me. these two have one of the best connections i’ve seen on tv. the writers threw their romantic potential out the window. the things they did for each other and the way they look and act around each other speaks volumes.

Yeah I can't remember what episode of Smallville it was but Lois said something along the lines of "Lois and Clark, who would've thought" and Clark said "I did." It was so sweet. I actually wrote an article one time comparing the dynamic between Bonnie and Damon to the dynamic between Clark and Lois in Smallville. The dynamic between the pairings is very similar. But Clark and Lois ended up together.

Have to say that letter is one of the best writing I’ve seen on any show and I watch a lot. The writers who wrote that are amazing.

When Bonnie came back from the prison world, she jumped on Damon full of joy. In the same episode Damon said to her: The relationship we had in the prison world of 1994 stays in the prison world of 1994. Bonnie: so you are continuing now what you had before? Damon agreed. Asked, Bonnie always denied to had had any sexual relationship with Damon there - Damon, asked, said nothing. But the way Bonnie reacted warmly to Damon later in several scenes and episodes, and vice-versa, can be questioned. Bonnie seemed to had fallen in love, but Damon, aware of that, wanted to keep her a little bit in distance. The character of Damon could not be long time alone, and without having sex to calm him down, despite he loved Elena. If both would stayed longer in the prison world, they would have become a couple, and it would had made sense becoming later a couple till Bonnie's death, or if Elena would have died. Instead making Enzo her boyfriend, to whom we never saw some bonds before.
Thinking about Elena I will never forget some scenes making me upset. She let her memory be erased with beginning of season 6 because she couldn't stand the grief about Damon's death longer than four months (!!!) and wanted to have a happy life again. She fooled around with Liam and Aron because Damon seemed to be not good enough for her. Or how's about defending the work of her father, knowing he was one of the torturer of vampires in Whitmore! Elena said always she loves Damon so much - but in her dreams about her future she saw herself as human in a human marriage with human kids living as a doctor - and where was Damon in her dreams? Not existent, and she doesn't even realize it. Even Stefan saw the possibility of Elena leaving an human Damon later in real life. Meeting her after his death in Elena's dream in her coffin, Stefan recommended strongly his brother: he is the better man, the right man for you! - Somehow I doubt, this human couple ended happy, even when Damon love was so great and strong. And how can Elena anyway live as a doctor in Mystic Falls, when every vampire in the world would be searching for Damon to steal the cure?! (Which would kill him.) Bonnie would have been the better match for Damon.

I always wonder why Damon was not nice to Bonnie from the beginning after all he did make a deal with Emily to protect the Bennette line which he held up until Emily betrayed him Damon may be a douche to many people but Bonnie and The Bennetes as well as The Forbes well he was nice to Liz but not Caroline should of been exceptions as well as The Lockwoods out of respect for Carol and The Gilbert's out of respect for Elena even though for a while little respect was there everyone else is fair game it would be a lot easier to protect The Bennettes if he was nice and less threatening and demanding towards them or anybody they are close to from the beginning
There friendship is amazing.Everyone is talking about how they should ended up together but I disagree. Bonnie was his best friend and Elena was his true love.Plus Bonnie was in love with Enzo.Bonnie would never do such a thing to Elena who is like a sister to her.

End of season 7, season 8: Because the writers decided not to make Bonnie and Damon a couple, but keep Elena with the cure in her blood sleeping in a coffin. What happened with Bonnie? Didn't she realize how much Enzo was manipulating her??? She wanted to take secretly from Elena the cure, that is probably the main reason she had her coffin in her house in the end (instead to be kept safe in New York or New Jersey). She wanted to take the cure and give it to Enzo, and live with him as human. Well at least she refused to become a vampire, with Elena never waking up again. What would had happened? Without cure, the body ages to his real age, but Elena had not been a vampire that long. But human Elena would have probably started to age (!) in the coffin anyway during the next 60-70 years and would be old or dead by the time Bonnie would die, to wake up. (Kai told her, not to change anything, or Elena is going to die.) Second, Damon would never had the chance to take the cure from awaken Elena, because Bonnie and Enzo would have run away till he figured this out. Third, knowing Stefan the ripper is coming to kill Elena, Bonnie took the cure from Elena with an injection, and both Bonnie and Enzo decided to run away, leaving the coffin with Elena unsheltered behind them in the house. We know what then happened: Stefan, sooner arrived as expected, killed Enzo and Bonnie in self-defense pushed the injection with the cure into Stefan. Now, what sort of pity should we have for both egoists...? Scenario forgotten by the writers? By the way, I was not a fan of Bonnie and bad ass Enzo hanging around playing love games when all their friends were deeply in trouble. They both didn't care a bit.

I enjoyed their friendship. I just can't with their shippers. The evolution of this friendship is interesting to watch. I adore seeing Damon in friend mode with Bonnie because his friendships are incredibly important to him. Ric, Liz Forbes, Enzo, Bonnie... they're all captivating for me since each had good reason to hate him but all grow to love him and trust him which is why Damon's friendships, every one, are one of favorite parts of the series.
