    I’ve cut mine down to 35 inch .. and got a tour 2.0 with a 50gram counter weight , possibly might move to 70g but the counterbalanced option gives better balance to the putter

      I agree counter balance makes it flow great through the stroke. I recently cut mine to 36 inches and have a 40g counter weight with a 15” Garsen max grip.

    I am 5’8” and did the same as you. Chopped it an inch by still struggle without changing my normal swing pattern. I like your idea and might switch out the shaft on mine too. Thanks!

      Yea the counter balance can really help the stroke, but like all golf clubs still needs to fit you properly! Keep us updated if you change out the shaft! We love unique/custom clubs!

    Thinking of getting a BGT shaft installed on mine and cut it maybe to 37-38”. Thanks for the video.

      Keep us updated if you put the BGT shaft in it! The stroke lab shaft I put in my seems to feel very soft because of how heavy the head is 380g.

      @@ValidatedGolf How much weight did you add back if you cut to 36”? Did you use the Zenergy 2.0 XL? Just comparing notes 😅

    I like the fact you cut it down*/ And really like your new StokeLab Shaft on the Jailbird*

      Yeah cutting it down was a game changer for me! I ended up going back to the stock heavy steel shaft, the stroke lab was definitely not as stable due to the heavy head weight.

    do you find that your jailbrid sits open at address when you place it on the ground and that the shaft leans back too far?

    • @ValidatedGolf
      @ValidatedGolf  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes Mine sat a little open too. It’s seems to be the shape of the sole that causes it to sit that way. I no longer play the jailbird but it is a great putter

      Don’t put so much weight or pressure at address. The litter should lightly touch or sit on the ground.

    As far as tip diameter size for a new shaft, is this .355 or .370? Thanks again!

    • @ValidatedGolf
      @ValidatedGolf  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Just checked it, the stock shaft is .370

    Do you have a link to the shaft you put in by chance?

    • @ValidatedGolf
      @ValidatedGolf  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was a stroke lab shaft I removed from a double bend putter I had laying around.

    I have the 380 jailbird like you. Can I put an LA golf shaft in it?

    • @ValidatedGolf
      @ValidatedGolf  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately You can’t because it’s a double bend shaft and la golf does not make a double bend shaft yet. That would be a nice combo!

      @@ValidatedGolf thanks for reply! I guess ill just have to go with a BGT stability shaft then!
