Rex Murphy, writer and journalist, dead at 77: National Post | Canada Tonight

Columnist and radio host Rex Murphy has died after a battle with cancer, National Post reports. He was also a former CBC journalist, and spent decades on various CBC programs, including his segment Point of View on The National. Comedian and actor Mark Critch, who played Murphy on This Hour Has 22 minutes, reflects on Murphy's legacy, noting that he was 'the person the country would go to.'
