    Hey Tara,
Definitely agree about the point you make that everybody's tantrums instructions are so conflicting! I use to have a nice floaty indy tantrum which I have lost recently for some unknown reason! Back technique? due to lack of riding? have also recently changed boards to a 147cm board with a continuous rocker but i figure if my technique is right the board should not matter too much! Very frustrating as i was starting to try taking them to blind. It has been annoying the hell out of me! Rewatching tutorials I've heard so many different things trying to relearn them, progressive edge? Hard Agressive edge and back off? Extended arm or bent arm close to chest? Its winter down here in Oz so hard to get consistent riding in but will definitely work on this approach.

Awesome tutorial! My first invert was a tantrum a little over a year ago, but I was never able to get it consistent. I like how your approach to teaching is different than other people's ways of teaching, because something's resonate better with different people.
I noticed that I was focussing too much on squaring up recently and just landed my first tantrum since last Spring. I look forward to trying to implement your tips next time I get out on my new 2020 DOC valhalla, and also to try and put a grab on a tantrum!

I really want to learn a tantrum. Flipping backwards is so unnatural for me. Any suggestions, tips, or methods to get over that feeling?

Lindsey Tulkoff if you have access to a trampoline, that’s a really good place to start. You can do back drops, and then eventually kick your legs over. Once you’re more comfortable, practice doing them into the lake or a pool. The more you do, the more your air awareness will improve.

Done thousands of Tantrums but never been able to grab it. Too laid out. Gonna try the "look at your front foot at take-off"!
